Howdy gentleman, ladies! I'm just dropping in before I begin the very long work schedule for me. I've had my time off , now it's time to get in gear.
Getting started is the problem. lol. So here's some "Fine" music for the afternoon. Hope you enjoy.

LoL,,," Lost a wife & a girlfriend, somewhere along the way",,,I can sing that tune, mostly when one finds out about the other,,,o_O

Yeah, I was terrified of posting here for about 4 years. Purely lurker, too, Mel.

Even now, when I don't drink, I'm reluctant to post. It sucks that boozing is what gives me the courage/motivation to post. I guess it is what it is.
:):):) yer' just saying that,,,everybody knows that you don't need to be drinking in order to set or change the direction of views on any subject matter when you post,,,now, you might need to be drinking to be having a blast while doing it or to get the fur of yer ire raised up:lmao::lmao2::lmao:

Ya-know, CC ? That Fan Zone forum and the sticklers of adhered to unwritten protocol that post are our reason for being but you & those other newer members are right in noticing certain particulars pertaining to it,,,that very same reason had pretty much kept me in a wide orbit& regulated to being a shadowed lurker of this site for several years before joining.
Melon, the old DC.com had the same thing called the News Forum. I was told by a couple of mods that my schtick wouldn't play well there so I didn't frequented it. Not out of any trepidation but I figured we're all here for different periods of time and some have to do drive by's and don't have time to screw around. They're not there for nonsense and I am all about that.

People do not truly appreciate nonsense and the outlet that provides to cope with a world that makes no sense and is making less progressively. The best way to battle the real nonsense is to manufacture our own. Instead of trying to struggle to make sense of it, make nonsense out of it.

We knew all of our Mods before they became that which was good for us but bad for them at times because we took advantage of that and they were a little lenient with some of us. It became as much about fun as football. And I know I was cut slack by several of them.

When I first signed up on DC.com, within an hour I was being warned to stay on topic by another member. And I really wasn't there to derail anything, just started some stream of consciousness posting and found some like minds and a beautiful online relationship was born. I like talking ball and the Boys but don't find out as much about the people.

it is an oddity and one I cannot explain but there are some here that I have never laid eyes upon and they are as dear to me as my long time friends. Maybe that says more about me but that's the way it is.

No Mel, i generally don't post when im not drinking. i have severe issues with self-image and am scared of sounding a fool. unironically, it's when i post while drinking that i sound a fool, but there would be no post to begin with, most of the time, if booze wasn't involved. "good with the bad" and all of that...

You guys are too "quick."

I wont get into it. But he knows what the **** is up. If y'all keep pressing me, I will be forced to explain, but I'd prefer not to

If sounding a fool was my issue, y'all wouldn't know me. I put some really absurd nonsensical stuff up on the old site, much more than here and in gen pop.

Everybody has the choice when they sign up on one of these sites, be yourself or be someone else. If you choose the latter, better have a hell of a memory.

There's a great line from Rick Nelson's "Garden Party", "ya can't please everyone so ya got to please yourself".

The first time I was here, I didn't like it and went back, it had this unfriendly vibe to it from the get go but I was only out in gen pop. This last time, I had little choice so I just decided to do what I did on DC.com when I first signed up, find the like minds and connect with them and to hell with the rest. It's not about them, it is about the ones I have identified as posters I want to become friends with and make each other laugh and feel good. I bait the trap with nonsense, someone bites and I am all about finding out who and what this poster is all about.

Then don't, you don't have to, just sit over there staring into the fire while we go on a panty raid.

I always noticed you when you first started posting after the first exodus in 2016. I loved your posts. I'm sorry the board treated you so unkindly, man. Bunch of pansies ***** anyways. Know you have a board friend in me, and if I see folks attacking you I will be there for you, as I am for all of my buddies always

I appreciate that but I don't take that bait, I don't have time to waste on posters that don't like me. But it wasn't how I was treated as I was basically ignored like some others have commented about, it was how I saw posters addressing each other. Hell, I am a goofball but the maturity level I saw there was like being back in junior high.

And this lashing back at a poster who happens to be in a negative mindset is really ridiculous. Use positives try to sway the point of view, don't just fire off against how they're feeling. The ones that do that reveal just how soft that positive ground they're standing on is and they're fearful of sinking.
