Shame on you Luhnow for acquiring a wife beater whose face he beat unrecognizable. Osuna should NEVER be allowed to pitch again. Why is this monster not locked up? Luhnow was talking about giving people a 2nd chance without EVER even mentioning the victim. UNBELIEVABLE

“I hope the rest of your life without baseball is horrible,” Justin Verlander said.

you man. I hope the rest of your life without baseball is horrible. You deserve all that is coming your way! https://t.co/e8nJ8urUAJ

“We must fight for the victims,” Lance McCullers Jr. said, “video or not.”

The issue here is no one cared as much until a video was leaked & now everyone is outraged!? This is the reality of domestic violence. It’s always brutal, always sickening. We must fight for the victims, video or not. He should be in jail. If you need help, find it. People care. https://t.co/1ZhHnJlX3o

I abhor domestic violence.

But I also believe when a person serves their penalty then they've served their penalty, and his professional penalty has about been served.

The judicial penalty is still a possibility.

However permanently taking away his ability to earn a living does nothing for no one. Certainly wouldn't help the person that was subject to the abuse.

About time (even tho Angels fans kinda knew already).

He brought us our only WS, and will probably make it to the HoF as a manager, but it is time. He abandoned the style of play, "small ball," hit and run, stealing bases, bunting (in the correct situations), etc that made him successful. Arte did him no favors with a bevy of albatross signings/contracts -- Matthews Jr, Wells, Wilson, Hamilton, Pujols to name a few -- but it's still time for him to go.

I started watching Angels baseball when Terry Collins was our manager, and Bavasi our GM, and those mid-late 90s years were part of the dark ages of our team's history, and we've never enjoyed as much success under any other manager, but it's time. I'll miss him, for sure. His weird, confused looks from the dugout, his yapping at blue when a bad call, charging the mound (tho, in recent years he's done it less and less), the respect he garnered from blue, the respect the players had for him, his embracing of a close-knit clubhouse... all of it, the good and bad. But now, it's mostly bad. He's outdated, clings to "vet grittiness" over young potential or who's hot, doesn't know how to deploy the BP any longer, and he's probably checked out, anyways.

Yankees got Lit up by the REd Sox. I say they should have traded Torres for Degrom. Not even sure if that would have done it for the Mets but it would have gotten their attention. Degrom would probably never lose again if he played with a team that could score at least three runs a game. Yankees could do that for him.

According to reports, the Mets management has FINALLY figured out the problem. (https://nypost.com/2018/08/10/cardinals-executive-on-radar-in-mets-gm-search/) According to the article the Mets have relied too heavilly on analytics and crazy statistics to be successfull. They have decided they are goign back to old school baseball and hire one of those traditional fossils that will relate well with Papa Wilpon. They apparently went (outside the box) with hiring Calloway and want to get back in the box and hire an old school baseball man. That should sit well with Mets fans. After 8 years of Sandy and teh Stats with no success they are reverting back to the way it was in the olden days when they still had no success. Someday the Mets owners will realize the problem is them. Not who they hire, Not who they get to play 3b. Not who is on the roster and the coaches. It is them.

Woo Hoo. Rangers Guzman is first rookie to hit not one, NOT two, but THREE home runs in the same game against those Yanks.

This was eight days after Boston's Pearce connected three times off the Yanks. Guzman duplicated the feat in ending those Yanks four game winning streak. Aw:muttley:

Yankees really blew the opportunity to get DeGrom. Now if they want him it will cost them Torres, Andujar, Severiino, and Judge. We will take Sonny Gray off your hands too. We will also throw in Jay Bruce and a shiny old Todd Frazier to complete the deal.

Congrats to Betts on his first MVP. Much deserved.

Two years in a row injuries got to Mike. Both from sliding into a base.

Angels calling up some of their young talent, Ward had a great first big league debut yesterday, 2-3 with an RBI. He's gonna be a player. Converted from catcher to 3rd base. He and Fletcher are the future of our infield, along with Simba. Lots of other kids in the system with tons of potential. We might be a top-10 farm this offseason -- we were 30th a couple, 3 seasons ago. Excellent drafting and development from Eppler and his staff.

Still, my heart is broken that Trout is getting injured the way he is. Sadly, his MVP-watch is all that Angels fans have these past few years.

Stros fans, you guys will be alright. I loathe Oakland and their smug Silicon Valley, faux-hipster fans. Loathe Seattle, same smugness, just further north variety. I'm all aboard the Stros train. They'll pull out of this slump, and roll a nasty 3-man rotation in the postseason. Jose Altuve needs to get back in. He's a gamer. Saying he may play sore the rest of the way, but as long as he is in, and slapping the ball to all parts of the field, he doesn't need to hit for a high slugging, just get on base and set the table. Springer will be back by Friday, according to reports. Correa will be fine. Both Correa and Springer have a lower avg than you'd like, but they're still getting on base, and hitting the ball hard.

Once the postseason begins, everything changes. Ask those Giants teams.

Oh oh @Trouty . Rumors are swirling even more about Trout going to the Phillies. Mike just purchased a house in Wildwood, NJ.

Wonder if it's near Papale's Jersey shore home? I'm heading to Wildwood tonight for a long weekend. Maybe I'll see ole Vince again.

I guess we'll see.

He's never made it a secret he is a Jersey boy. He's also never made it a secret how much he loves it in Anaheim.

We shall see.

Angels are still above .500 with more starters on the DL than the rest of the AL West combined, and more than the Mets @FloridaRob (9 to the Mets 8 [starters])

Playing in the toughest division in baseball.

We have a lot of young talent about to graduate. And an owner who will spend. If Mike thinks he can win with the Angels by 2020, he stays. It's all up to Arte on if he wants to eat Albert's contract and build a contender -- along with our infusion of high-end youth -- to surround Mike with.

My friends that live down from Vince told me about it today. It's pretty hush hush because the local media hounds haven't even mentioned about on the local news.

Isn't it great knowing something before the media gets a wind of it?!:D

Yeah, if it's Mike signing an 8 year contract extension with the Angels.

Angels fans have to hear this stuff everyday. His whole career. No offense, Hon, luv ya, but I get sour really quickly on this subject.
