To be honest, Schultz looks green. But Swaim and Jarwin are my picks for 1 and 2. And it's not close for me. Swaim is the best and most complete TE we have. Jarwin isn't as effective as a pass blocker but does well vs the run and he and Prescott have pretty solid chemistry.
I would keep Schultz over gathers.
I think he has more potential and knows the position.
That's the biggest thing holding Gathers back IMO. He just doesn't know what he's doing.

Swaim will provide next to nothing for us but solid blocking.

Jarwin is supposed to be a good receiver but he's fumbled and doesn't look better then Rico either.

Both are slightly below average.

If you could combine Jarwin and Swaim into 1 player you might have an ok tight end.

Neither are worth keeping over a guy with real upside but since we can keep 3 give me Swaim & Schultz plus Rico. Cut Jarwin.

Judging from the fact he hasn’t gotten a chance to run with the 1s, it don’t look good for him.
I'd say more like judging from the fact that he looks lost out there and doesn't know what he's doing it doesn't look good for him.

to funny..... someone whose single expertise is to twist words, accusing others of it, when they present FACTs, backed by STATS and not OPINIONs.

second, publicity? really. if you think this was publicity then you really have to look at the definition. this was a train wreck of a disaster. I can't describe what this was in terms of horrors of rico....

the new evidence is not that he makes plays. that's two training camps ago. the new evidence and according to Rico, too, he doesn't know the playbook, he doesn't know his assignments and he doesn't know how to run routes... show me any new evidence, not ancient out dated, irrelevant comments. actual, factual evidence from this year that he has made plays.

I would be scared shietless if he played with the first teamers. that's when I would put Zeke and Dak on the IR for the yar and write off the season, because he would be solely responsible for getting them killed by not doing his job...

and thankfully, given now last night's performance. this charade and farce is over. we have seen last of rico with cowboys and in NFL and two years from now it will be Rico who?

you have to find somebody else to hitch your wagon to...I am sure you will find one and continue to hope the cowboys fail. in the end, as you yourself admitted to it. you want the cowboys to fail.

i continue to get what i want in terms of publicity so again i thank u for ur service.

here is the chronology again so u cannot twist the facts.
2016 - rico drafted
2016 training camp - did little except 1 highlight play
2016-2017 season - ps, practiced including on scout team with romo against 1st team
~May 2017 - Mcclay interview, other articles about Rico being unstoppable
2017 training camp/preseason - did great in 1st 2 preseason games. big hype. many in th press anointed him as heir apparent
August 2017 - concussion injury
2017-2018 season - ir - probably for a lot longer than the concussion losing the ability to practice

u post like some type of crazed addict hoping for rico's failure. my streaming had trouble so i missed the play where he supposedly gave up the sack, and have to wait for the game to come up on youtube. however from what i did see, he was mostly used inline for blocking which he did pretty well. looks stronger than the other tes in blocking. he caught the balls that were thrown to him. unfortunately, the qb did not attempt to get him the ball for deeper routes.

no matter how much u try to twist things, i dont want failure. anything other than superbowl is failure. but if we r going to fail anyway, i prefer tanking so we do not failure in the future by getting more talent. it is an investment in the future. i guess this requires too much discipline and iq for u to understand.

keep posting here as it continues to achieve my goal. thank you

No he doesn't.

Messing up once or twice isn't the end all be all.

Jarwin fumbled a football last week. It's completely dismissed. Imagine if Rico had fumbled.

People keep using the excuse to defend Gathers that he's not been given enough opportunities.
Well I hate to break it to you but that is exactly what preseason is all about.
The fact that he's had limited opportunities given to him tells me the staff isn't sold.

I would think that after 2 years you or I would know what we are doing. Well maybe you, I am old. Lol.

It's not dismissed, how many Jarwin threads are there? And one fumble isn't the same as poor blocking and looking confused and slow vs. bottom feeders.

Which means Rico and Chaz makes the 53. Lol

But the staff sucks so that's why we don't value their opinion.

They like Cooper Rush, they like Kellen Moore, they like Chaz Green. Who cares what they think? They are the Geoff Swaims of coaching.

Lol Rico is not a poor blocker. He actually does the job.

I just meant the closest we started with. Haven’t seen him all preseason get a start.

He did play some with Rush, but I don't think he played at the first of the game. I could be wrong on that though.

Not great but with playing time and coaching he should improve. Is he a Jason Witten ... emphatically no and he'll never be but he's got GREAT hands, moves (for his size) like no other TE I can remember ... he doesn't lumber along like so many TE's. That combo of hands and athletic movement is what makes him a playmaker, something the team is in dire need of ... hell, all teams are in dire need of (except maybe the NYG).

Keep him on the 53, put that 4th rounder from Stanford on the PS.

You guys can love on Rico all week if you want but, the coaches have spoken and he's hitting the streets
Saturday afternoon. Since you guys love him, you can buy some Popeye's chicken from him next week
before he heads to Europe to play basketball.

I don't know about love but you certainly seem emotionally intent on him failing.
