The comical thing is many Dak homers said he was better than Alex Smith...

OL was terrible. No running lanes for Zek and Dak was sacked 6 times. He was throwing short most of the time because that’s all he had time to do. Dak was not very good, but the O line was way worse.

Dak wasn't helping himself on the sacks. He looked panicked and ran into some sacks after holding the ball too long from what I saw. And Zeke was doing fine running, he just didn't get enough chances. He only had 15 carries.

I thought the OL was pretty average. Not great, but not terrible either.

You dudes are so corny...like I get it...you hate Dak or think he sucks. Why not be reasonable it though? Why not wait until a few games to do the whole "I told you so" schtick? That's how you know its personal with you guys. Losers.
Some people dont have to watch multiple games to see that a guy isn't accurate with the football.

I think it’s really sad that fans root against Cowboys players just to prove they are right. I am a Dak fan and will be as long as he is the starting QB for the Cowboys.
The logic in that type of thinking...so if Chaz Green were still on this team you would be rooting for him ? Because , of course, he's a Cowboy and therefore cannot be called out for being a sub par player right?

I said we hear the excuse in EVERY game that he plays like crap.... i didnt say he plays like crap every game. But he has played poor in far more games than he has played well going back to last season.
That's not true either. The first half of the season last year he was on pace with Watson and Wentz. Had 3 straight games with 3 passing TDs. But if you really blame him for games like Atlanta last year then perhaps you just don't like Dak and want to see him fail

I'd love for us to get a new QB so we don't have to hear nonstop crying and people quietly celebrating when he misses a pass. We'll be hearing the same things about the new wonderboy in a couple of games. Remember when fans were begging for Cooper Rush to get on the field?

We're not getting anywhere with a mediocre Oline and receivers and some of the most basic offensive schemes in the league. By all means, lets play rotating chairs with the QB and keep blaming the players.

I understand that. I'm speaking about making threads about it after one game. Some people judged Dak before he been stepped on the field. I'm not naive or stupid. I already know that there are some guys who will never like him just because they think he made Romo retired.

I think I'm like most people, not a question of being a "Dak supporter" or not, but a question as to whether or not Dak is, or can become, a top NFL quarterback. I said I was giving Dak (and Garrett for that matter) this year, with Zeke not in line t/o be suspended, Dez's bad attitude gone and some new coaches. One game does not a season make, with as little as he played in preseason, to expect Dak to have good rapport with Gallup, et al is not realistic.

They did look bad, and with no Frederick and a rookie Williams having to learn a new position as well as get used to the NFL, it's not a surprise. Better quarterback play probably would have won this game, but the rest of the offense, except for Beasley, isn't good enough to do anything more than maybe get to the playoffs, no matter how good Dak plays....

I'm so over it all. IT was like the same people who knocked Romo.....they got their taste of Brandon Weeden and Kellen Moore.....I hope we get the 1st overall pick and take a QB and he busts. Then people will see its bigger than Dak.

I’m here.

I think the coaching staffs game plan was all wrong for this game and for Dak in the first half and I think they kind of fingered it out half way through the second half.

It’s a shame that that is what they came out the gate with.

Dak could’ve and should’ve been better but I doubt it’ll change the minds of people who start threads like this When he turns it around

That's just as stupid. ITs stupid from both sides I agree. But I think we also understand that the reason the Dak supporters jump to making posts like that is in response to the 100's of threads this whole board received about how bad Dak was.

I think it just depends on which side of the debate you fall. I have a tendency to see more of the "Dak is great, everyone around him sucks" threads. Probably because I argued with a lot of people when our idiot coach decided to go with Dak after Romo got healthy, and then decided not to give Romo a chance to compete for his job - a competition he would have won handily, which should be obvious to anyone by now. So I see those same posters, who were convinced that Dak was great and took the locker room from Romo and blah blah blah, making idiotic threads about how every receiver sucks, the OC can't get guys open, we need all pros at every position on the OL etc...

I have been a Cowboys fan for 40 years, I dont ever root against ANY cowboy player. I just think he is any good. I would love for him to prove me wrong.

Scheme is terrible. Worst in the league. Receivers don’t get open. The new thing is the OL sucks. 6 sacks and if not for Dak it would have been 10-12 sacks.

The offense is a complete failure. That is not on Dak.
So the quarterback missing open guys all game....wasn't Dak???? What game was I watching then?

I think that if Dak craps the bed this season we'll have a new coach, because Garrett hitched his wagon fully to Dak when he refused to let Romo compete. Unfortunately we'll still have the guy who hired Garrett, and I'm not confident of his ability to choose better the next time.

Let's don't kid ourselves......there's probably 1 or 2 guys making a "Dak is great" thread. Especially after last season.

I just don't get why people can't just do this without being extreme on either side. But that's asking for too much.

No offense but doesn't matter how long anybody has been a fan. Only blaming Dak for the offensive woes shows either you dislike Dak or don't know what you're watching.

Romo couldn't compete. HIs back was done. He retired. He had a chance to revive his career with the Texans. Dak or Garrett had nothing to do with Romo retiring.
