Thank for that!Wrong. He played well, but then you have to actually watch the game instead of just looking at the stats and backing out the longest play.

it was enough for the win, Dak did his part. he didn't have to throw for 3 hundred yards to get itthe score was 13-3 in the 4th..... 13 points.... and we had a TD drive which he looked good...the defense played fantastic...when you hold the opponent to 3 points with 6 minutes to go....you have done your job.....the defense had 6 sacks and gave the offense good team position...giants were true to their word...loading the box and daring Dak to beat them....he did...with 6 yard throws...again, he did have one 64 yard TD pass... but the rest of the time it was very very average
In 2016, he was not playing a conventional style of play for a QB. This style of play is simply not sustainable in the NFL. Yes, he's a big kid, but running RPOs all the time is a recipe to getting hurt. It's also not consistent, as the Panthers have found out with Cam Newton. I honestly think that Garrett and Linehan were trying to introduce Dak to pocket concepts in week one and he simply wet the bed.
If Dak can eventually grasp being more of a pocket passer like Russell Wilson has been developing into, then sign me up. If he's going to be a po
or man's Cam, I don't want any part of it long term.
based on the last two games (last 7 really). will he be able to throw for 300? consistentlyit was enough for the win, Dak did his part. he didn't have to throw for 3 hundred yards to get it
Momentum and the defender would have likley carried/pushed him out of bounds. That play would not have been considered a drop. Beasley had a drop when Webb interfered with him. Other than that I did not remember any others.Absolutely some rust and week 1 there were no "charged" drops.
This week there were at least 3 drops imho, though we shall see what is ruled official drop or not tomorrow when they update.
One specific one was the Gallup play. I have been overly flowery of Gallup's deep ball play but in this case he didn't give himself any room on the sideline instead focusing on his slight let up then burst move that is sweet but all vertical. Ball hit him in the hands and it would have been a beautiful play to get feet in bounds but you gotta catch that for sure.
At end of the day Dak took care of the ball and threw it away plenty but took 0 sacks, had 0 turnovers and gave NYG zero easy points.
Cam has been to the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 seasons. In 2016, he was not playing a conventional style of play for a QB. This style of play is simply not sustainable in the NFL. Whatever it takes to Win, don't have to be like the Bucks nor the Saints when you can run the ball.based on the last two games (last 7 really). will he be able to throw for 300? consistently

So has Aaron Rodgers.
Backing up passing it 50 times a game is as or more dangerous than running forward expecting contact.
Dak is throwing the ball away as opposed to taking sacks which is a key to his longevity. Sitting in the pocket taking shots from 300 pound dudes while your body is open to pass is far more deadly than getting passed the first line of defense and taking a hit on the second level with the ball tucked.
First, that's a hardly a dumpoff. Looked like it could have been 10 to 15+ with wide open YAC.
Second, the open guy and the deep guy are practically the same line of sight. So if he couldn't see the open guy, how could he see the deep guy well enough for an accurate throw?
Idk, I feel like he missed one there, but it all worked out in the end. Felt like progress from week 1 for sure, I think the rust is shaking off.
This is common sense man.... no, he isn't going to average 300 yards throwing it 19 times or even 25 times a game, lol.based on the last two games (last 7 really). will he be able to throw for 300? consistently
Eli would beg to differ lol
But this team was bult around the OL and Zeke.
Dak is a beautiful compliment to them in that he can also pound you with the run.
You don't need 20 rushes a game but 8-10? Sure.
And every one of those read options means 1 less pass.
I saw at least 4 other shots downfield im not sure what game you were watching
AND how did that work out?

Sorry, you are dead wrong. He was accurate last night and made some great throws. Multiple times he had pressure in his face as soon as the ball was snapped. Also had good throws that the WRs did not make plays on. Not to mention the penalties.
I think Dak could have put up bigger numbers if the play calling had been more aggressive. I wish they would dial up more of the deep passes, especially after it worked so well. But Linehan (or Garrett) must have thought we reached our quota after the first touchdown.
