Dude was a blanket today. The throws were insanely good and the catches even more so. The early one, running down the right sideline, I saw Chido stuck to the guy and even turned his head back for the ball. Just a great game by Detroit in that regard.

Yet again, do you guys understand what perfect coverage is? If the WR gets the ball, consistently on you, it's not "perfect".

Perfect coverage is being glued to the receiver and being aware of where the ball is so you can make a play on it to disrupt the pass. Accurate NFL QBs can place balls in areas that is best for their WRs, Stafford can do that, the best CBs in the league find ways to disrupt that.

He failed. He needs a lot of work.
He didnt have a good game. But I don't think its alarming. He was good at mirroring his man, but he didnt locate the ball to make the play. I dont think this is something permanant with him as it wasnt an issue in college. Both him and Lewis had notable ball skills coming out. He is young DB with less that a full season of games under his belt. He will have some ups and downs

I think some people just expected him to be an All Pro this year and the bar is set too high

What about the whole secondary? Thought improvement was there per board. I even set Golden Tate in my fantasy league thinking with hip problems and going against our D, he wouldn't score for me. At work I pop on my phone and see that they scored a TD, as I am trying to see who scored, who do I see G.Tate 45 yards and I am like I sit his a-- thinking he wouldn't do anything today. Look at my lunch break see another TD for them and I am Praying it was not Tate again, who do I see for a 38 yard score TATE! I was like if not for bad luck I would not have any luck.

Dude is the new Anthony Spencer. Almost and but not quite there

You clearly have no idea what you are seeing. Aside from the fact that even if he had played poorly, it’s idiotic to ignore every other game he’s played and only judge by one, he had his man blanketed all day and it took perfectly placed balls and great catches to beat him. I don’t recall ever seeing a CB play that well but still fall victim to unusually perfect throws and catches.

Tell me about it. Also benched D.Jackson and picked up Jordy Nelson and played him and D.Thomas for Denver. Hate to see the score not even going to look. I played OJ Howard for my TE and he did nothing. The guy I played had J.Cook for Oakland who went off.

I feel some of that pain. Played Howard with zero production. Plus my #2 HB ( Jordan Howard) may have lost his job.

In the upside in cruising this week with Goff, Gurley, Tate, and Kupp in the lineup. Howard would be disappointing, but I have Sony too who broke out today

Gave up 8 for 138 and a score yet the homers on here will still claim he had a good game. Too funny.

Benching Jackson for Nelson only cost you one point. I have no faith in D. Thomas any more; it's amazing how closely his career has mirrored Dez's.

The fact of the matter is Chido's getting thrown at and getting beat. I wouldn't pin so much of the Detroit game on him, cause the Lions wideouts made some just plain stupid catches, but in weeks 1 through 3 teams have been testing him with Byron going full Revis mode on the other side and Chido's been giving up receptions.

Awuzie had solid coverage and was in phase on almost all of those receptions. I don't think his grades will be awful for this game.

This board is weird. Will call out Awuzie but gives Jeff Heath and Anthony Brown a pass over and over again. They are our biggest problems in the secondary.
Yep!!! Heath is horrible outside the box. But he makes 2 good plays a year and these folks declare him to be All World. LMAO

I would've started all of the 3 Lion wrs. Of course that was because I thought our offense would collapse and Stafford and co would be on the field all game long lol.

It was a bad game for the defense. I dont expect to run into that many perfectly thrown balls coupled with perfect catches over and over very often though.
