As much as I love the cowboys sometimes you need the disease to run its course so that the body is stronger in the long run.

He made alot of mediocre recievers look good and made some of them alot of money, but i think if he came in now it would take a few weeks to get some chemistry going
not if they fired jg and made tony HC and QB and maybe OC if he wanted it.
If this happened cowboy game ratings would go thru the roof.

38 year old Tony Romo isn't going to rescue the Cowboys. Get over it.

This is stupid. Romo is one sack away from a lifetime in a wheelchair. This is some dumb *** bs. How can Romo be better than anyone while in a body cast? He cannot withstand hits. As proven by his 2015 performances and his 2016 preseason fiasco. He’s too old and too brittle. You guys claim to love him so much, yet y’all wanna see him murdered. Just shut up. Please. This is moronic to say the least.
And what do you base your opinion on lol ??
are you his doctor? seen his x rays etc ??
you dont know anything, it is just your bizarre opinion

I’m basing this on his bizarre and illustrious injury history.

They had Romo interviewed today on the cbs pregames show, and one guy asked if he would take a
2 year 60 million dollar offer, and I think they meant by the cowboys.

I thought it was interesting and odd, that Tony didnt say no, he didnt say yes either, but just smiled
and avoided the question twice.

So if offered more than that, he might just take it.

Right now Dallas has a fairly good defense for a change, but very bad offense.

I have to wonder if Tony could light things up with these recievers?
I think he would be using tavon, but not sure about the others.

I'm probably wrong about it, but I seriously think that if we had been a playoff contender last year and Prescott had gotten hurt, Romo would have come back. However, I think his success in the booth and more time away from the game make it very unlikely he would consider it now ... especially on a struggling team without his best bud Witten.

I was Romo's biggest supporter back in the day, and I can tell you that in his prime, there were as many threads in this forum bashing Romo mercilessly as we see Dak threads. We've never won anything with Romo, Weeden, Kitna, Dak, Cassell, nor any other QB under the Garrett regime. In case you haven't figured it out, the problem is not the players, its the idiot head coach who has wasted some great careers.

The possibility of Romo making a return as our QB shouldn't even be a serious topic of discussion at this point. He's been amazingly successful as an analyst with CBS in a job that offers him time to be with his beautiful wife and kids. He'd be an idiot to give that up for a job that kept him away from them for many long hours and seasons away from his family. Anyone suggesting as much simply isn't being realistic. Forget it -- it won't happen.
I like Romo; one of my favorites - he hasn't played since leaving, is fragile, and has a cushy job. Now as coach, I could see him as OC and then HC.

They're hard to find, but you eventually have to start the search. You can't keep banging your head on the wall with what has not worked.
The brain damage has already set in. Garrett and JJ have been skull crushed beyond comprehension. It's all muscle memory habit now - like a chicken's body that keep flailing around long after it's brain has flatlined.

Forget the Romo is hurt issue for a minute, let's talk about the world class offenses he's played with in his career. I'm not going through them, you guys can do that on your own time but go look it up, and guess what, couldn't win.

So how now is he supposed to win with a sorry *** receiving core, a sorry line, and a mediocre defense, with sorry Linehan calling plays and dumb Garrett coaching the team?

Of course he'd be better than linebacker Dak, but he wouldn't take this team no where, and the hits Prescott took, JUST THE PAST GAME, would seriously put Romo in the ER.

Look for this guy.

It's true. The mind is willing but the body is weak.

Dak has terrible qb pocket presence this year, Romo has been very good about that.
Where was this presence in 2015 vs Philadelphia and Carolina? Or what about the 2016 preseason game vs Seattle? How’d that expert pocket presence help him stay healthy in those circumstances?

I'm not talking the fact he struggles to take hits or even bring him back. His awareness was fine in the PS, but should not be making that play, he actually gained yards. Carolina is a bit more hazy, but believe our line didn't have a great showing and again he can't take a hit. One thing going for him is the new qb rulings that being said it has been time to move on, but unless you want to swim in mediocrity Dak is not the answer.
