I would like to believe that a win this week could be the cure but honestly, I think we are a .500 team and I think that we are going to face challenges all year. I don't see this team becoming dominant until we get the OL settled, until we get a good TE and WR group and until Dak is allowed to run an Offense that plays to his strengths, rather then tries to mimic Brady etc.

Myself, I'd like a single receiver, not a running back, with 100+ yards in a game...and maybe 250 passing yards for Prescott.

For the record, all you truly studly and self appointed pessimists, I post positive articles sometimes, because the run of whipping boy postings become a rotten routine. There are only so much of they are rotten and deserve craps, than even remain in a positive vein.

Not really having a horse in the race yet, whether meeting direction taken or not...FOR THIS SEASON, at this point, monitor your own efforts at a positively presented OP.

Negative cat walling is reserved for another board on site. A continual return to such practices, is way past not needed. If one wants a negative veined OP, then start it...respect a poster's right to present an unbiased view, without the negative stuff always backing up onto main street.

Now don't play around with this intention...who you kidding?

Sometimes perspective can be improved, but butchering all, is more of an agenda and personal emotion.

The Cowboys will walk their own road, and down playing and insulting posters isn't justifying a disgust in their walk.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if we win this game but Houston surprised me so there’s that. At least Jacksonville doesn’t have an offense like Houston and Bortles is coming in off a 4 INT game with no Fournette. They just picked up Erik Flowers...bwahahahahahahaha...what does that tell you about how bad of shape their in. I believe they’re already on their 3rd LT this season.

The Jags signed Ereck Flowers. Recently their left tackle Josh Wells got injured. My guess is that Flowers is backing up the backup to Wells. But I don't know for sure.

It's how they win that's going to make a difference. I want a win yes but if they win because Bortles threw 2 pick sixes while our offense still suck, it's not going to change many people's opinions.

Until our offense can score on quality defenses on a regular basis, most people will not change their opinions of the team.

Winning this week with cowboys 9 jags 6 doesn’t cure problems. It proves the defense is good. Doesn’t cure problems.

Losing this week 35-7 proves problems.

I thought our goal was Herbert, how does winning achieve that?

I like the way you think. Is Herbert better than Locke? I still haven’t seen Herbert. I like locked size and arm strength. I acknowledge he is a bit of a ******. I like stidham also

I saw Herbert for the 1st time today vs Washington. Kind of an ordinary day for him but u can see that the ball just snaps or explodes out of his hand...definitely not something that we have been used to seeing lately. you can tell when a kid can throw the ball and this kid can throw the ball with quickness, velocity and accuracy. So many NFL scouts were there today, Elway was there as well. Giants will wind up taking this kid and teaming him up with Barkley and we will still be circle jerking...

This generation sure has a come lately sense of entitlement and a cheap thrill in using any and all as a time for a whipping boy type response.

What, one has so little self-control that he can't even wait a half season to see if there actually is progress. This is a group of very young players and a team developing set of issues...

What the hell?

Here you go:

Now own it!

You seem like you’re a lot of fun. The team this season is going nowhere besides meaningless wins to give us a worse draft pick. It is pretty clear...

For this game, what about this?

The thing that jumps out right away is goal line success rate. Connelly outlines as follows:

An efficiency measure that deems each snap that takes place inside the opponent’s 3 as successful or unsuccessful. The terms: gaining 50 percent of necessary yardage on first down, 70 percent on second down, and 100 percent on third and fourth down.

The Cowboys are very good at this when they get in the red zone, in fact they’re actually the best in the NFL at it. Jacksonville is near the back end of the league as they are obviously allowing the necessary yardage to be picked up on respective downs in that part of the field.

Winning one game would mean the lose, win rollercoaster continues. Win a few in a row and get back to me.

Were you around in 1970? That season was just about as much of a roller coaster through week 9. Not alternating wins and losses, but lost in week 9 at home to the St. Louis Cardinals 38-0, their 2nd loss in a row to drop to 5-4. But they then went on a 7 game winning streak, including a thrilling 5-0 playoff win against Detroit, to make their first Super Bowl appearance. Do I expect them to go on a long winning streak now? Not necessarily, but neither did anyone think then. But I do believe the Division is winnable this year by us.

Win or not win a valid question for a fan? In the front of a season, and with real progresses considered, one never roots for a loser's attitude. That is just wrong and show a full boat of losers.

You want a whole group of soldiers wanting to just give up...and doing it? Same concept...losers who don't evolve, are losers. These Cowboys have a tad more going for them than the name game for shame.
:hammer:

There are some, maybe many that complain after a win for how they win. A 5-0 playoff win like in 1970 would result in extreme pessimism today. They don't style points wins and losses.
