Why Dak still sucks

The offensive line gave Prescott all the time he wanted/needed to throw the ball. That was the main takeaway from the game - Brian Hoyer would have had a similar game with his hands. Further, they created more space for Elliott to run riot. Prescott needs to use his legs like last night - it's a gimmicky offense and it will be found out eventually but it would take the team to the play offs. He missed three TD passes in the first half alone - the one Romo highlighted when he didn't even spot Elliott for a walk in touchdown was the most worrying. The defense was seriously impressive. Like last season, it's a play off quality roster but Prescott didn't get it done last term.

Next 7 games (Titans aside which will be a blow out win) will be interesting viewing.

Walk in TD that Romo was talking about was not a pass but a run which Dak fumbled and recovered. There was no one in front of him when he was running it.

Zeke was off on the left but Dak was already taking off for green pastures.

Jerry will give him 160 million for an 8 year contract .

He will also extend Garrett .

And will pay a huge amount of money to kellen moore.

I put victories ahead of passing yards.
Ya we're 3-3 should be 5-1 at best but with inept Dak back there even .500 makes us happy at this point...depressing....and how long has it been since we've seen a 300 yard passing game...ya those are miracles now for us....one thing is for sure our Maher will be # 1 in points scored in the NFL this season....I wonder why??????

Agree. Dak can’t throw.

It’s his third season. If he can’t do it now, he’s never gonna.

The problem with Dak is he's not like the good QBs of the past Dallas has had, but he's still a good athlete. If the pieces around him are in place and you give him some time, then he does a good job. But you can't expect him to be those QBs of the past that elevate our team beyond what is expected. He does it to some extent because he's better than the crap we had in '15, but he's not an elite passer at this point. Consider our coaching staff and WRs and reevaluate the situation he is in. The Cowboys don't have Jimmy Johnson. No Irvin, Harper, Novacek. I'm not comparing Dak to Aikman, just pointing out he doesn't have those pieces. Nothing even close besides Zeke.

Im curious why you guys still say he cant throw? He throws OK

He can throw just not accurately and add to that his panic in the pocket, poor downfield vision, poor decision making, poor foot work, poor anticipation for his WR's etc etc etc ....what you got....a LEMON QB...or a average Running back...you pick...

Just to reiterate:

Dallas went PASS HEAVY in the third quarter and Dak couldn’t even average 3-4 YPC throwing to get 40 yards to break 200 yards passing. All the butt hurt isn’t going to change this fact they tried throwing the ball.

Dak went scoreless 10 of 16 games LAST YEAR in the third quarter alone, even against the woeful Giants and Commanders who were a mess and out of the play-offs. Dude consistently is trash in the third quarter and can’t even throw the ball against garbage defenses, especially those familiar with him,

Jacksonville took about ten minutes of half-time to figure out what was going on in their first exposure to Dak and locked him down. Dak with another of his career almost INT (guy should have at least thirty INTs in his career by now if Dez wasn’t such a good WR turned DB) into the hands of Ramsey was once again, his typical idiotic throw and across his body off the back of his foot, and could have totally changed the momentum of the game after the Jags scored making it 24-7.

Lucky for the Cowboys also, Bortles gave Dak 8 yards in the red zone to score with on the Heath INT and still couldn’t score a TD, even though they went pass 2 out of 3 times.

It’s cute all the love for him... just last week the WRs were saying how open they were and Dak was throwing everybody under the bus...

What a strange thread.
Well, he ain't wrong.

I have a hard time complaining after a win, and for what it's worth, it was probably Dak's best game of the season. Could you imagine if he missed the Bease on some of those throws when the Jags forgot he was playing? There was nobody within 10 yards of him. But he had all day at times and still missed some easy throws. But his accuracy was good today on the throws he did make. He hit some guys in stride on crossing routes which is good to see.

But this is the reality of Dak. As soon as he doesn't have a suck game, the next week rolls around. What bothered me is his I told you so attitude at his post game.

Dak is full of it, which was obviously the ‘next stage’ after this win. “I showed you guys I’m the man..” nah bruh, you still trash.

This was probably a wake up call for the Jaguars though, considering how unprepared they were...

That's a good one. How many passes did Dez drop last year that were picked off?
