Time to bench Dak

Dak would be a good backup QB but he's not a starter. But he is the best we have right now. :(

Otherwise, Jerry is going to have to drag Romo out of the booth while he's kicking and screaming.

How about we get rid of Garrett for a coach that knows how to use Dak? It's clear as day to me that JG's offence doesn't fit Dak's style of play. Yet, JG is too stubborn to change it for Dak's strengths. Aikman said as much yesterday. Dak is a dual threat QB. He has the capability to take off and run. Yet, it looks CLEAR to me that the coaches have taken that away from him. For example, on that missed pass to Jarwin, it was an easy first down if he tucks it and runs with it like he did his rookie season. Yet, he decides to throw it. Yes, Jarwin was wide open, but he's got an easy first down if he runs it. That was an obvious example of what looked like he'd been coached to do. I was hoping he WOULD run on that play. He had 1 carry that I saw yesterday, and he had opportunities for more if he'd use it. THAT was what made him so good his rookie year. His ability to beat you with his legs and arm. However, the coaches have wiped away the threat of the legs from opponents leaving his arm exposed. Again why I say that our coaches have a unique ability of making other teams look better than our team. Instead of coaching to the STRENGTHS of the player and MASKING as many of the weaknesses as possible, they EXPOSE the weaknesses of the player. THAT is reckless and HIGHLIGHTS their ineptitude at coaching. Do you think Andy Reid wouldn't figure out how to make the most of Dak? Think Norv Turner wouldn't know how to use Dak? Want to know how to use Dak? Look at the other QB that was playing in the game. Use his legs to his advantage.

He's compared to McNabb. There's a REASON for that! It's KNOWN that his arm strength isn't the best. Where he HURTS defences is using a combination of his legs and arm like McNabb did. Where Andy Reid was brilliant with McNabb early in his career was allowing McNabb to run when he saw an opening. This froze the defence because they knew that they had to watch for McNabb's running ability, which broke open the receivers using the WCO. Yet, our morons with the headsets make him just stand in the pocket which ISN'T his game. Want to know why the WRs aren't getting open? Because NONE of them are being used properly. Want your team to quit on you? Run an offence that doesn't fit their style. Furthermore, if you want to bring in a new QB, just know that they'll be similar to Dak in the sense that they are also read option WCO-style QBs as that's the flavour of QB in colleges for the most part. If you get rid of Dak and get one of those styles of QBs, we'll be in the same boat again until we realize who the REAL problem is.

The only way you bench Dak is to bring in Gathers. QB is his natural position.

Cant believe people expected Dak to light it up with 2 new oline men new WRs and TE and Zeke not playing in preseason either . In a couple games it will be better after these guys get playing time together .

Garretts fear of injury in preseason cost us this very winnable game in Carolina . No Dak will not be Rodgers in 2 games but things should improve as everyone gets playing time together .

Come on guys come down of the ledge we bench Dak for the guys who had tons of playing time in preseason and looked horrible against backups . That probably isn't going to help SHEESH this is just common sense . Dak is far from perfect but he could be used better and is our best option now even if it dose not appear that way .

Seems like Dak is uncomfortable working within the pocket and can't see past the check-down route, lacking confidence in his deep throw. The outside receivers aren't scaring anyone, but they are in single coverage much of the time and that included Dez. You have to give them a chance to make a play. Not one throw downfield yesterday.

The QB situation is gong to sink this team in 2018.
Bingo.

this isn't an impulse reaction, his excuses are gone and he looks even worse than he did when all the "problems" for him were here.

Need to see what we have, may have to give the new guy 2+ years to judge if he's a franchise guy or not.
Bull.

I really wanted to bring in Teddy Bridgewater in the offseason to compete with Dak - sadly that didn't happen now Dak has two other scrubs behind him that makes Dak look like Montana in comparison.

Sadly, we will have to stick with Dak throughout the season and then look elsewhere.

I agree it is time to bench Fak. At the minimum it would send a message to the team. However Cooper is bad. That is an issue when the back up provides zero threat to the starter.

Man, this isn't even a ledge. WE ALL CAN SEE that this team is gonna stink the rest of the season up. Everyone can see it. Heck, even the team knows it. Dak IS NOT THE ANSWER. Sad to say, but no. He isnt going to LEARN to throw all of a sudden. He is a quality backup, at best.

This oline did the opposite of what i thought: d-gelled.

The defense did the opposite of what we ALL THOUGHT.

This is the first time in MY LIFE that i have a game on in front of me and i decided to start cooking, went outside for a bit... just knowing the game was over by the end of the 2nd quarter. THAT IS SAD.

How 'bout them Browns?

I saw some clips and from those clips, one thing is for sure, Mike White’s throws look way better downfield than Dak’s.. his release is way more natural. I’m sure the difference isn’t that big...

Next week is the week to bench him. They also need to bench L Collins. He's not a tackle. C Williams isn't strong enough for the NFL. he has TE strength playing guard.

4th road game in a row, pathetic showing, 1 td offense. I'm done with it. What are they talking about in film room sessions? Must be a country club thing to keep certain players around when other teams don't hesitate to bench.
