Dez in the worst year of his career had 70 for 850 and 6 TDs with the worst passing offense in football.

Dez is a dominating player when his QB isn’t trash.

Coopers good. Low tier #1 Receiver.

Dez wasn't always dominating though especially earlier in Romo's career. He and Romo took some time to develop chemistry. Dez had problems with drops last year but this coaching staff knew he and Dez suffered with chemistry......yet, they kept giving him the same 2 routes to run.

Problem is too many people get "hung" up on players that it makes them blind to reality. A #1 was a huge give for the guy BUT I have no doubt they would've reached on a WR in the first in the Draft anyways. I prefer Cooper so far. Easy call.

Dez was never the route runner this kid is. This mantra that the team had no playmakers or separation with receivers is a sham. There is frequent separation. Just got to hit the plays that are there and take more chances downfield.

I mean his body type the way he attacks the ball and runs with it , it is very Dez like IMO

I thought at the beginning of the off season it would be Dez, hurns, Williams, and Beasley. I think that would have been a good group. As much flack as Hurns gets he was brought in evidently to be a #1 which he is not, he works best with a go to guy on the otherside. Hurns is starting look more and more like what he did in Jax.

I was thinking the same thing while watching the game. Our much maligned receivers would have some nice numbers if Dak would hit the plays that are there to be made. He & Cooper are the foundation of nice group going forward.

No, run after the catch not there, breaking tackles not there, burner speed not there. Very solid in a lot of ways, but I don't see him as some WR that has that unstoppable nature.

That play where he was wide open if Dak had anticipated was a broken coverage. All he did was run a deep crossing route.

The throw that Dak made to him on the sideline and he got blasted out of bounds, he was open two seconds before the throw. He gets open a lot and our QB doesnt anticipate.
