I love steak with onions and peppers, but my GF for whatever reason likes the yellow sweet onions. So she made it with yellow onions. That is disgusting! Who wants something sweet with steak? I couldn't even eat it. I tossed it. She was mad, but she knew well in advance I absolutely do not like yellow onions yet she buys them anyhow.

Yellow onions should be banished from the world. They are nasty.

I think your girlfriend is trying to send you a message and I'd check under the bed for a bag of yellow onions.

I like the yellow ones in spaghetti sauce but not in chili and never no never, saute any onions first for chili. This is a criminal act.

I dig 5150's, Vidalia's and Walla Walla's when they're available but seldom cook with them, great in salads.

This wasn't recent but the yuck factor was so great, I thought I would share anyway:

A few years ago, while working in Kazakhstan, I attended a remembrance service (essentially, a wake) for a senior level employee. The centerpiece of the evening meal was the traditional boiled sheep's head. The master-of-ceremony, or Tamada, carves the sheep's head and serves it to those attending. Each different piece - ears, tongue, etc - has a particular meaning in Kazakh tradition.

As the senior company official attending the ceremony, I was rewarded with the sheep's eyeball; the significance being that I should keep my eye on the "family" or tribe.

I can assure you that, with sufficient amounts of vodka, they slide down like an oyster.

I've read life raft survival at sea stories ,where dudes said they actually kinda' missed the taste of eyeballs later on after rescue.

* man, I'd boiled an Javalina skinned out head one time to facilitate the defleshing process of the skull cuz' they've got some pretty cool & fierce looking casing-liners to 'em,,,Man Alive did it ever stink up the whole house, cuz' I did it on the wife's stove while she was at work( I suffered thru her ire over that one) then I'd wired& staked it down over an ant hill for 3-4 days, then I oiled it up with something ( I forget) it turned a nice shade of light tan/ brown,,, one of my nephews saw it on a shelf in the reloading room while visiting " the crazy uncle " & wanted it,so it went home with himo_O

But wouldn't you like to see another like him conversing with him. We could have "guess what he said" contests. I knew I had overstayed my welcome by one day when I started to actually understand Melonhead. I would like to just sit there for a couple of hours watching him come up with his stuff.

While I may not understand everything, I catch the casing-liner drift of an esoteric mind... More importantly, I am greatly entertained

Ha,one of us would prolly be killed pretty quickly, while the other would succumb to the inflicted wounds shortly thereafter, cuz' I'm pretty sure they'd start to drinking & end up in a fight& I know that's how it would play out:eek:
