Garrett's Locker Room Tears: Is it good or bad?

First of all, this is not a bash Garrett thread. Let's have intelligent discussion. To those of you who have played sports or ever had a coach of any kind, is it good or bad that Garrett cries in front of the team after practically every win? I ask because men tend to perceive crying as weakness. I can tell that they all love Garrett. I also heard about Landry and Parcells crying on rare occasions. I know they were both highly respected. The situation with Gallup is understandable, but Garrett cries over everything. As a woman, I think it"s awesome, but what do you men (and women) think? Can a leader of men cry a lot and be successful?

i get what you're saying, but don't necessarily agree. alpha's are a dominant personality, true, but other than in the wild, i'll take intelligence over brawn any day. it's a lord of the flied kind of thing. the best strategist doesn't necessarily require he/she be large in physical stature. admiral rickover barely stood 5'6' and weighed all of 130. but he was a great leader. garrett truly is not a strategist.

I think its good because it show the players that he actually cares about them as if they are like family. As long as its not a regular occurrence then it will not be perceived as weakness.

Garrett had just lost his father not too long ago, and this being a trying time for Gallup, the huge win, the team coming together, it can be all very emotional.

the collision of two blacks holes is an event that would take millions of years as the smaller is eventually drawn into the event horizon of the larger. it's quite common in universal terms. right now the outer edges of our milky way galaxy and the other edges of our neighbor andromeda are currently colliding. but not to worry as it will take a couple billion years before anything major comes out of it. then it will be a mini big bang.

I knew our gapaxies were close, but I didn't realize they were already colliding, or don't you mean that literally?

Firstly, I am someone that is outspoken on here that doesn't want Garrett to be HC anymore, though he can always prove me wrong, and I hope he does. With that being said, I have 2 things to say about this. Firstly, I want to give Jason Garrett credit for a well drawn up game and a well designed game plan. We did very well against Washington, and I'll credit Garrett with that. Secondly, I have no problem with him showing his emotions. Firstly, his dad died earlier this year, so knowing that this will be his first Christmas season without him must be weighing heavily on his mind. Secondly, seeing what Gallup has just gone through must be heavily emotional too. So, I think it was probably a combination of those two things, and, for that, no problem with the emotions there. I thought it was a more than reasonable response to it all. It must be incredibly overwhelming to have it all be happening like this.
