There’s a very strong correlation between a QB’s ability and his career W/L record.

That’s not a matter of opinion.

Other than Archie Manning, name another great QB who didn’t win well over half his games. Go ahead.

And LOL at Dilfer “not needing to produce at a high level”. He went 38-38 with Tampa Bay. Pretty sure they needed more from the QB position.
There can be, but not always.

No problem. David Carr, Dave Krieg, Jim Everett, Ken Anderson, Jim Hart, Don Meredith, Roman Gabriel

I have no idea of their winning percentages, but I know they were quality QB's who were mostly not on good teams. What are the records of Hadl and Brodie?

David Carr was garbage....... makes me question the QB standards you’ve set here.

I also posted the career totals where Dak is superior as well.

But you hold onto that 5 games this year where Wentz was back playing and Dak had no offense my man. It can keep you warm at night like all those Philly losses.
Keep saying that to yourself and someday you may actually believe it.....

Then ask 32 GMs in the league and lets see what they say.

Top 5 Highest paid QB's........................
1. Rodgers - $33.5 million
2. Matt Ryan - $30 million
3. Kirk Cousins - $28 million
4. Jimmy Garapalo - $27.5 million
5. Matt Stafford - $25 million

The only one whose team is still in realistic playoff contention is Cousins , who IMHO , is way over-rated................................

Dilfer was a below average QB who started for teams who didn't need him to produce at a high level. You cannot judge any QB on his W/L record. Very weak analysis.
This is really the issue here.
You guys have ZERO concept of reality.

Trent Dilfer was an above average QB who was drafted 6th overall that went to a trash team.
Tampa turned it around and Dilfer even made a Pro Bowl.
His last season in Tampa he went 7-3 as starter.
He then went to a team that ran the ball and played defense and won a SB.

Then he went on to become this non-descript journeyman as his skills/arm eroded.

Wins do matter. Dilfer was 5-12 his last two seasons in the league and frankly he had no business in football at that but prior to that he was a Wentz-esque 56%.
That is an above average starter.

1 season may be an aberration but QBs do not go CAREERS with win-loss records based solely on talent around them.
That is utterly goofy to suggest.

Wentz throws a pretty deep ball, but honestly he's not built to withstand hits. As we've already seen. Philly was the exception to the rule. Typically if you're starting QB is out, the team doesn't play all that well. So, that's one thing that Prescott has over Wentz. Hopefully he develops his passing more and more.

Like Hall said, as long as Dallas gets Dak for about $15 million & Philly has to pay Wentz over $30 million this can still work out for dallas by having more money to build dominant defense.

whats the odds of Jerry only paying him that? It should be the amount but not sure it will happen

And they're considered more traditional pocket passers over Dak, And are getting paid top QB money. But, aren't delivering their team to the playoffs. Kirk Cousins could still get the Vikings in. And Rodgers has consistently put Green Bay in the playoffs. And Garapolo got hurt.

But, as far as Matt Stafford and Matt Ryan goes, they're getting paid big money and neither are carrying their teams on their backs. Since the Lions have been bad year after year. And since the Falcons constantly don't live up to the playoff hype. Dak may not be able to carry a team on his back, but Stafford and Ryan, are getting paid millions and are considered "better" than Dak because they are pocket passers. But, both have been in the NFL longer than Dak and haven't won a Superbowl.

Stafford hasn't made the Lions a consistent threat for the playoffs. Seems like Stafford needs the parts around him like Dak does, but once again Dak is singled out and passes harsher criticism, because he is a Cowboys QB.

If you had access to even 1 GM you'd stop posting stupid things.
But alas you don't and won't so on ignore you go.

No offense but you saying other people are posting stupid stuff when you say things like Wentz cost 11 picks and how most GMs would prefer Dak and how pretty much a huge chunk of Philly fans are scared to resign Wentz is pretty damn funny.

Wentz cost 11 picks -- Yes, the Browns ended up with 11 picks in the trade.
I also detailed the Eagles gave up 8,77,100 and a 2017 R1 and 2018 R2.
how most GMs would prefer Dak Dak plus all those picks? ABSOLUTELY THEY WOULD. Anyone that disagrees is certifiably stupid and goes on block.
huge chunk of Philly fans are scared to resign Wentz I didn't say huge chunk. You like to lie yourself a lot which is a problem. I showed you an article from not even two weeks detailing the Eagles issues with resigning Wentz. Then told you you can see real-time in game chats where they drag Wentz.

So let me be very clear.
If you believe the Eagles would turn down an offer of Dak plus picks TWO R1s and R2 R3, R4 for Wentz please reply yes so I can block you.

Philly didn't give up 11 picks to get him. What the Browns did with the picks they got is meaningless. That's just you doing what you do best - making a nonsensical, exaggerated argument to try to prove your already shaky point. Philly gave up 5 picks for a player and pick. That's it. That was the cost to acquire Wentz. And let's note, they were able to then turn their existing QB Bradford into a first round pick. So in all reality, they only ended up giving a small handful of picks for Wentz.

Second the article you linked doesn't say anything close to what you claim. It doesn't even talk about implications of signing Wentz long term. It just talks about how there were some holes coming into 2018 that people ignored them thinking Wentz would just overcome them when he came back from his knee injury. Your implication, by the way, that resigning Wentz has a large number of Eagles fans scared. I mean what point would you be proving if it was only just a really small number of fans scared to resign him? That makes no sense. And all the real time in game chats? LOL. That's proof now?

It's interesting though, that your response to people disagreeing with you is to block them. That's the sign of someone who doesn't have strong convictions in what they are saying. It's quite telling about you, your positions, etc.
