...so now, that the cat is out of the bag. Hopefully, Dak & Coop begin to change the routes within themselves.

Amari's a quiet dude, so he hasn't said much all year, but he's dropped a few gems since the Philly game.

Exhibit A (OT Touchdown)

So, with the game on the line, Linehan called a play that everyone in the world saw coming. If that had been an interception, everyone would have blamed Dak, obviously.

Exhibit B (75 Yard Touchdown)

So Linehan called three stop routes, in a row, for Amari.

Add to that all the other receivers that have trashed Linehan in the past, whether it's Dez, Butler, Hurns, Beasley, etc.

This guy has to go, and I don't know how the management is so foolish as to let this to continue.
Good lord.

Linehan is not leaving.

Especially if the team makes the playoffs.

And extra especially if we win in the playoffs.

The coaches jobs are secure.

Did you ever actually play the sport in an organized way?

Plays get changed all the time.

On the LOS

On the sidelines

In the huddle..

the play breaks down and you improvise.

Want to blame Linehan then go ahead.

But it does not work that way.

Players modify plays.

They rarely speak about it so as not to tip off anybody.

Coop said they would have to change the hand signal now that it is talked about.

Instead of obsessing on getting Linehan fired..

keep praying our players are heady enough to take initiative at the right time.

I want linehan gone but I see this more of players seeing something and adjusting
I don’t see it as him taking a shot at little Scotty
A vet player like cooper knows what will work
Maybe the OC should ask them what they think sometimes

I agree. He may be taking a shot and he should. It's warranted in most fans opinions. Cooper is the one running the routes called and the DB's were sitting on them early. It's so frickin funny on here, I remember 2016 when fans were calling Prescott out for changing plays. Now he actually has some support and faith in a WR's skill set to change them.

I agree, but he shouldn't be going public with it. Needs to keep it in house.

If you don't think there's a problem with play calling then I don't know what to tell you....the scheme AND play calling is about as unimaginative and poor as anyone could come up with. When my 6 year old son can call out what play is coming next well...you've got a serious problem. If my 6 year old can do it don't you think the team we're playing knows as well? No excuse for this kind of crap. We run less misdirection than almost any team in the league, even if we did the same type of stuff but incorporated a lot more misdirection it'd help a ton.

Thats not the problem. The problem is that everyone knows what were running. There is no deviation to changes made to compensate for a heavy pass rush. Nothing, nada, zilche.

This is the major reason why Linehan needs to be replaced now. And take that crappy playbook with him.

I was pleased to see us throw some quick blitz-beaters in this game, but overall, I agree with you.

Frankly, though, I don't believe Linehan is the problem. Garrett's philosophy is. He showed when he was coordinating the offense that he doesn't believe in trying to outsmart the defense but in outexecuting the defense. Linehan is just calling plays within that philosophy.

The playcalling and scheme is the number one reason we do so poorly on offense. It's also the number one reason that is holding this team back.

It's not skill or talent. But the busted brains of both Garrett and Linehan. Who think by running the same play over and over again, will create a different result.
I've been saying this for months.

This is no surprise to me.

In the past for Dak it was like this:

Dez, huffin and puffin back to the huddle. Throw me the damned ball, I'm Dez.

Young Prescott complied and damn same results

Now it's like this:

Cooper comes back to the huddle. Dak, they're sitting down on all these little curl routes man. I think I got em on a go route

Prescott: you sure man?

Young Prescott complied and flung the ball to Cooper for three TD's

Good job! Well executed. Zeke says feed me

We've won five in a row and pretty much wrapped up the East, so I think he's already safe.

Maybe if the offense lays an egg in the playoffs, Jerry will fire him, but I think it would take a loss where we are not competitive, and the defense is going to keep us competitive.

It would have to be a complete blowout.

Hope we do not see that.

WELL,NOW!
The announcer/ booth dude did point out in last weeks game in where we had double stacked the #11 pretty much superimposed with either the #'s 13 or 19( er,,, I was well on the way to being in the bag& couldn't tell you which one it was for $100) stacked on DAK'S left flank flight -line , the #11 popped the coverage assignments of both philly players in a naturally occurring pick play,,, thusly leaving the Gallup/ Cooper target free& clear for the 'snag',,, which I'd considered it to being an refreshing observation,,, Ya know?
