And I do not care what the numbers say and neither would any NFL talent evaluator when comparing the 2.

% numbers get skewed.

I do not care that Wentz has better numbers this year. He was better last year.

I do not care that Eli Manning is having one of his better statistical season. He's awful.

You gotta watch the games and then take a dive into the numbers. Not the numbers first.

Dak's completion percentages along with guys like Eli is just a big who cares for me and should be for anyone who watches football and not their computer screen.

Dak is a limited player. Carson Wentz isn't.
You really have no idea what you are talking about. It is quite amazing really.

I dont think you understood. Gruden wasnt in Oakland last season and Cooper had a below pedestrian season.
Carr is absolute garbage- a bottom starting 5 QB and is much worse than Dak.

He has less ability than Dak as a passer and it's shown.

The ankle injury and concussion (which basically cost him 4 games) had as much to do with 2017 as Carr did. Not saying Carr is better than Dak or not, just stating a fact you left out of your analysis. But you are correct about Gruden not being there.

LOL so Wentz wasn’t healthy this year or in 2016?

That’s cute. It’s also cute how he’s not tough enough to play through a stiff back. All but ruled out on a Wednesday from Philly’s elimination game.

Not every QB can be a tough guy, I suppose. Wentz surely isn’t one of them.

Hey, isn’t “toughness” an intangible???
I said he was an injury concern back in 2016. He has been hurt every year for the last 6 or so years going back into college.

Anyone who resorts to W/L for individual player arguments, has no argument.
I disagree. QB is the most important position in sports. Their play heavily impacts W/Ls.

I get it - you don't like Dak. But the fact is he'd likely have the most (regular season) wins in the league since he was drafted had Zeke not been suspended. He's a winner who hasn't reached his ceiling as a player. He's far from a finished product.

Gruden offenses almost always stink.

He had a nice run with Rich Gannon but his old school west coast offense is too archaic imo and most of his success has came because the teams he had were great defenses.

He'd be a great walk around head coach but I do not want him touching my offense.

Derek Carr doesn't stink either and he would be a steal for some team to pick up.

Derek Carr would be better in Dallas then Dak IMO.

He just has more ability as a passer. With our run game it would be easy for him.

There is literally no stat you can point to that backs up he is a better passer than Dak...

Agreed.

Pay him upper middle tier money.

I remember the Carter, Hutchinson, Stoerner, Banks, Henson days

In theory, but extending him at the end of this season, we *should* save money in the future.

For example, let's say the consensus is he's worth $25 million per over 4 years and that's $100 million dollars. It actually is $100,750,000 over 5 years which averages when you include his 2019 salary. The new average ends up being $20,150,000 per year. So by resigning him for next season and paying him money he would otherwise not get, we can save money in future seasons.

Had some to do with it for sure, but not near as much as Carr's inability to play the position.

Cooper must be experiencing euphoria at this point that he was traded to us.

When a guy has 13 game winning drives in less than 3 seasons...wins are important.

I would love to get a $20M AAV contract for Dak
Our QB cap hit this year was already $10M with Romo's dead cap
That contract would allow us to keep our pieces together I believe. Just have to keep hitting in the draft

He is inconsistent, but he dropped a dime here. A new QB coach to help him with his footwork and pocket presence will do wonders for him. I hope Lincoln Riley is our new OC too.

I’m with you. Dak has his moments of greatness and other boneheaded plays.

The Cooper dime drop in the end zone? Wow

Missing a wide open Michael Gallup on a square in by ten yards? Also wow.

He has it. Just need a great QB coach to peel back the layers needed
