I think the Eagles trade Foles before the start of next season.
Or
Somewhere before they need to re-sign Wentz.

Foles is due $20 million next season.

This is Foles current contract.....take a look and tell what you think about a trade possibility

3/13/2017: Signed a two-year, $11 million contract. The deal contains $7 million guaranteed. 2018: $4 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2019: Free Agent

Just out of curiosity, if we tried to trade Dak ... what would we get for him?

No one would give us more than a 4th or 5th round pick at this moment. I'm certain most teams see Dak as a backup and wouldn't give up anything for his services.

Dak has another year to prove to us what he's worth. But at this moment, he has 1 year left as a Cowboy.

I agree 4th and 5 th rounder maybe a low 3rd..... heck fantasy owners wont even consider drafting him lol.....the only place Dak is a franchise QB is in these forums and there not the majority anymore ....in the real NFL world no one fears or will invest in Dak as logic prevails....

I want desperately for him to succeed ... as his success would breed franchise success. But I'm not seeing it.

I'm seeing Quincy Carter ...

We all wanted him to succeed but after the last 2 seasons its pretty evident this horse aint winning any derby's with his arm talents.....and his flaws are so many where to start correcting and where to finish ....if they can be....

Foles has a 20m mutual option.... either side can void it

Eagles face big decision on Carson Wentz's contract

The Philadelphia Eagles have a critical decision in front of them when it comes to quarterback Carson Wentz, who is eligible for a new contract starting Dec. 31.

Nick Foles mania aside, coach Doug Pederson has made it clear that "when [Wentz is] healthy, he's our quarterback." The organization has long held the conviction that Wentz is a franchise QB with enormous potential, and they have a history of locking in their core players early.

Wentz is dealing with a stress fracture in his back at the moment, though, and is coming off a serious multiligament knee injury. Does the team slow-play the negotiations given his recent health issues and risk getting slammed financially when the market resets, or do they try and lock him up soon while the cost is (comparatively) reasonable and cross their fingers that these type of injuries don't continue to strike?

I'm guessing Dak's agent will use numbers similar to Wentz and/or Goff, especially if using their stats and postseason play.

Side note.......notice the chart will the top 6 QBs contracts/salaries. For fans saying let him play out his last year of 2019, $28.6M is the average salary for the top on the list. Meaning 2019 franchise tag for QBs could jump from $23M to 28M.

Just know this isn't Dak, the reality is the NFL market for starting QBs is on fire. Notice what the article says about Russell Wilson next deal.

Bottom line.....IF Dak is your 2020-2021 starter with a contract averaging $23-25M, it's likely a bargain.

This was my exact point. Better to sign him THIS offseason and get a bargain at around 25 million.

With Frederick coming back and the Oline sure to get back to top notch and with all the salary cap room, this team is ready for a big 2019 season. Dak should be balling with protection and possibly a new OC. Might save 5 million a year by signing him now.

I would give him a back ups contract and I would focus on obtaining another starting QB. But, I want them to draft a QB in the first round instead of looking for another UDFA Rudy scrub.

Let Dak okay out his contract next year, trade Zeke for draft capital to use to move up in the 2020 draft to select your next QB.

And then you woke up. LOL

Re-up Dak this year for 5 years at 25 million per year. Make the first two years guaranteed and have an out after 3 years with more money in the last two years so if they want to get out, the first 3 years were less than 25 million per year average.

Trade for a QB like Mullen for SF. Now you have two young guys you focus on developing and you also have a quality backup with upside.

Fire linehan and bring a young offensive mind and have him replace the QB coach.

Only Tom Brady has more wins than Dak in the 2 plus seasons he has been in the NFL. Absolutely everyone was shocked on Kirk's 28 mil a year guaranteed contract. The reason they were shocked was because he is not a winner. Everyone thought Alex Smith was an upgrade over Cousins in Washington. I say once again......If Cousins got 28 mil a year.....I'm just saying
I was shocked because he is terrible. Because of that, he is not a winner. Alex Smith is so bad he was still a downgrade from Cousins.

Idk who this "everyone" is that you're talking about.

Cousins ISNT the problem in Minnesota. Its amazing to me how many people simply blame the QB for whatever happens no matter what.

Like Romo; Cousins isn’t “the problem”. He also isn’t “the solution”.

Like ALL QB's they cant win without great players around them. Some guys need more than others, but ALL need great players around them.

What I have seen with Cousins is that he doesnt have the IT factor. Leadership and clutch.

What many of these teams understand, that some fans on here dont, is that they cant all go find Tom Brady.

So if you have a good team and you can add a top 15 QB to that equation, you have a shot to be a great team.

Minn just hasnt gotten that play from the D and from the run game this year. However, Dalvin Cook is now back from injury and getting his legs under him. Its no coincidence they have played better of late.

Wins and losses dont say Dak is terrible. 4th Quarter comebacks dont reflect Dak is terrible. QB Stats compared to the rookie class of QBs he came in with definitely dont say he is terrible. Just Cowboys fans that are being pulled by the puppet masters of the media so they can make a buck off the most passionate fan base on the planet....say he is terrible. Dance puppet......dance.
