Then quit football if you don't want your problems splashed around in public.

Like it or not, that's the nature of the business, especially in the social media age where everything is thrown out in public.

He's the one who instagramed a picture of himself in bed with 2 women last February. Nobody else did it. So he has no argument about his troubles being laid out in public.
Don't disagree and, as I mentioned in my original post, a lot of his problems are self-inflicted.

Irving left practice after the Washington game with an ankle sprain. Although he was carted off the field, the initial diagnosis had reported the sprain to be on the mild side of the scale – sighs of relief abound. Ankle sprains can take from two weeks up to eight weeks before a player is ready to return. He passed the eight-week threshold against Indianapolis on Sunday.

Within that time frame, and with the caveat that a recovery is different for everyone, many players are already back to practice, working on resistance cords and often going through scout team work for up to a couple weeks before making it back to the big club.

Irving has, reportedly, not been around. He reportedly hasn’t been attending meetings. He reportedly hasn’t been rehabbing with the club. There are possible explanations for the latter, such as rehabbing with his own trainers, which are perfectly acceptable. It doesn’t account for not showing up to The Star.

Rehabbing with his own trainers!!!!
Why!!!!!!

He is also a distraction to this team, he can't be counted on and is no more than a guy looking for a paycheck, he does not give a rats backside about this team or the success of the team. He needs to go, I'm tired of losers like this on the team. Yes he has talent but his talent means nothing if he is not playing. To me if people want to see a change in culture around here you do it by ditching guys who are only interested in a pay day.
People said the same about Gregory and he could be back in trouble tomorrow but to me it’s not a distraction to the team. Most players understand addiction and won’t to see guys beat that demon

I hope Gregory stays clean but if you expect to change the culture of a team there has to be certain lines in the sand that players understand. This is a football team not a halfway house or rehab center. This franchise needs to win and only way I know how that gets done is having players who are 100% committed to winning. People during the offseason get after me about getting PO'ed about a player not going to OTA, the reason I do is because players who have dedicated themselves to winning do not need a mandatory or volunteer status to attend these workouts, they do it because they love the game and want to win. I'm tired of the boneheads and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances that are handed out like candy. Just how I feel.

I get that
It is frustrating to see such talent wasted because of their personal lives
One day these guys will see what they lost and can never get back

No doubt about it, I don't wish bad on any player dealing with these type of issues but that is choices they make and in the meantime, Cowboys are in the business or should be in the business of winning football games not running rehab centers for player who can't seem to stay clean. Growing up I smoked weed every day, 1st thing in the morning when I got up but when I was informed they would drug test where I worked I had a choice to make, my job, my future or getting high. It was an easy choice and believe me I do it for much less than what these guys are getting paid and there are no 2nd and 3rd or more chances. Heck had to take one this past Monday

LOL I just asked this question in another thread if anyone knew if he was even showing up! i guess I got my answer!.
I really dont know what truly is is situation so I cant judge. Clearly though there is more here then just the injury and his daughter. He himself needs to get his life in order.

He's a head case that will most likely always have drama and problems swirling around him. By all accounts he seems to be a complete idiot.

There's nothing to "talk" about. The guy doesn't show up for work. Nobody cares what he has to say after the fact. Guys get "injured" in football all the time, what they don't do is abandon their job and not show up at all. Normal players come in for rehab, attend meeting, Andy stand on the sidelines for games. See Travis Frederick for what a professional football player does.

You're trying to defend an idiot and looking bad in the process.
Don't look bad, this isn't about you and I. Don't take it personal, I'm just a fan like you.
