I really wanted Irving on this team at the end of last season. Though I wasn't happy about it, I could deal with the suspension. But then he missed basically all of the off-season activities including training camp, has practiced maybe a few times since his suspension ended, played a couple snaps, got hurt and has barely been seen around the facility since. It's hard because he's very talented and is a difference maker when he is on the field, but he hasn't been on the field.
I would still make him an offer though. It'd be a very small contract initially with incentives tied to it. Maybe give him an out after the year is over or something like that. If he doesn't want to sign it and some other team offers him something, then let him walk. It's not like we are missing out on anything with him not playing.
Give Irving what he wants. Cut him already.
Why?Give Irving what he wants. Cut him already. Just take the loss. He obviously doesn't want to play, nor has he any respect for Jerry, the coaches, organization or the team.
Enough with the excuses.
Why?
Why cut a guy who is under contract cheap. Irving May never play again but one thing no one can deny is he has super talent. If you can fix him you have a great player. If not maybe you atleast give him an opportunity to fix his life
He’s no different than Gregory
Gregory could fall off the wagon tomorrow or he may turn into a great player. But at the very least once you’ve taken a guy like this, knowing you had to fix them before you get anything out of them, you want to give every effort to do so
Irving left practice after the Washington game with an ankle sprain. Although he was carted off the field, the initial diagnosis had reported the sprain to be on the mild side of the scale – sighs of relief abound. Ankle sprains can take from two weeks up to eight weeks before a player is ready to return. He passed the eight-week threshold against Indianapolis on Sunday.
Within that time frame, and with the caveat that a recovery is different for everyone, many players are already back to practice, working on resistance cords and often going through scout team work for up to a couple weeks before making it back to the big club.
Irving has, reportedly, not been around. He reportedly hasn’t been attending meetings. He reportedly hasn’t been rehabbing with the club. There are possible explanations for the latter, such as rehabbing with his own trainers, which are perfectly acceptable. It doesn’t account for not showing up to The Star.
he hasn't lost his passion, dude is hurtHe has lost his passion for the game like the purple drinker, it's a shame because both had the ability but no desire.
Speaking of Gregory. Now that Bryant and Gordon are back on the suspended list, you gotta wonder about how long he will last. Why?

Wow, you guys are bashing a guy who is injured!Well...where are all the Irving fan boys? Been saying flush this doped up turd since last season. It's now past time, pull the handle and dump the turd.
He is past that small injury. Dude is a crap stain another of jerry's boys who can't get it together, a loser in so many words. Either can't play due to suspension, or hurt, or personal issues or a fairy farted in his coffee, or..........Wow, you guys are bashing a guy who is injured!
