First.. I will believe when it actually happens.
Second... If it happens it will be either VERY limited tour or the tour will not finish as DLR will drive the other guys crazt to the point of canceling the tour.

We got pretty much duped when a "new" van Halen cd was coming out only to find out it was pretty much a remastered demo tape.

I know the Van Halen cd with the Extreme singer did not work out but frankly VH should had tried other singers or the very least the band could have put out an instrumental cd out.

One would think that all of the years without a VH cd would have meant tons of great riffs and song (music wise) available but again they went with a remaster of old stuff and I would not be shocked that even if they did come out with new stuff that the band would do their parts in one stiludio and DLR would do his separate in another.

I don't think they can work together too closely for long. I have heard that Eddie, a little of Alex as well, is very paranoid about stuff and of course DLR can great on anyone's nerves after a bit.

I agree and after what the Van Halen brothers said about Michael Anthony I wouldn't be in the same room with them.
As far as DLR goes. I literally wanna punch him in the face when I see his interviews.

I was a little embarrassed watching that. I'm glad no one caught me watching it.
I even though the original "Jump" was stupid and back then Van Halen was one of my top three bands.
Those are 8 candidates for Carnivore Chow on the Ark.

I remember about 10 years ago they were rumored to get back together but David Lee Roth wanted to go into the studio and record new material and the Van Halen brothers only wanted to do a greatest hits tour.

Well they did tour in 2007 but there was no new material, A Different Kind of Truth was released in 2012 with tours in 2012 and 2015.

Well first off huge fan of the band from inception until 1984. Have seen them about a dozen times starting in 1979.
While I believe this is possible knowing this bunch I wouldn't hold my breath. Love the guys but buyer beware they are dysfunctional especially the brothers. When the Captain of the ship left the 1st time{Dave} they have been a huge mess with almost vocalists{ PattySmyth, Mitch Malloy} reunions with Sam, reunions with Dave, the almost reunion in 95 at the VMA's. The 2 constants through all this has been the brothers who are amazing musicians but when it comes to running a band they are incredibly dysfunctional and at times just plain lazy.

Hope this happens but am not holding my breath, this is the way i will always remember VH

Saw halen support sabbath on their first uk tour in 78. They came back same year for a headline tour, caught them again at the Rainbow. Brilliant band live.
I liked the sammy hagar era but much as i like hagar, DLR is a great showman.
