Sadly never got to see DLR with Van Halen..... Did see the 3 tour with Gary Cherone and while it was more about promoting the new album, they played alot of their classics.... Great show and good times.... Sucks I only seen Sammy and DLR in video concerts....

I've seen VH 3 times with Sam, once with DLR in '07, and Cherone,..and the Cherone one my have been my favorite all around experience. Like you said, they played some classics, and Ed was stone cold sober (which is sometimes an issue, or at least that last tour with Sam, he was a wreck) and played insanely well that tour

Dave was the driving force of the band and played a HUGE part in getting them noticed. Before he joined the brothers they couldnt get arrested.

I'm not sure DLR's voice is any good anymore.
Few years ago VH was on some late night show (Kimmel?) and it wasn't pretty for DLR.

Yeah..his voice was shot on their last tour. Still smoking Marlboro reds and the hippie lettuce at 64 isn't good on vocal chords. Probably why Ed hasn't done anything with him since

saw them in Dallas in 2008 and I will forever believe they were piping in Anthony's voice.
