Dak is Mr Clutch!

Cal Poly was here five minutes after the game frantically trying to deflect credit from Prescott.

Dak didn’t play perfectly and literally carry 45 other players to victory over another team by himself.

So he sucks.

Football isn’t a team sport. So the defense playing great and our star running back playing great means the QB didn’t also play well in a tough game to win.

Very logical.

Romo had Witten in his prime for his entire career and Terrell Owens is in the Hall of Fame.

Right. It’s obviously false to suggest he didn’t have tools. Of course, he really only had one season with a top running game.

Uh...Romo's team in 2007 had a monster defense and he PERSONALLY BOBBLED a fg snap and cost them the game in 2007. He also played on another team that had like 13 pro bowlers and got knocked out first game.
This whole narrative that Romo never had any teams around him is total bull****.
It's bc people are looking for anything lol

He had some decent combinations early on though, in some of his early seasons Marion Barber III would combine with Julius Jones or Felix Jones to have 1300 or 1400 yards combined. That isn't elite like the year DeMarco had but its pretty good. I'm a Romo fan but I don't agree with some of the posts that build him up more than he deserves.

That’s true.

Gotta give it to the haters.

They don’t stay down for long.

Less than an hour and a half from a Playoff Victory and they’re already nit picking every single play - conveniently overlooking all the great plays.

Perhaps the Cowboys should’ve drafted Deshaun Watson. I mean, he’s a first round pick.
Keep making me a star here......even today Dak proved he is not capable to play QB in a NFL level ...another Tim Tebow win .....we won in spite of Dak once again.....

Yes, dak is not a NFL QB

I'll lay this down right here:

Player.....att/cmp...yds...yds/att...td/int
Prescott..22/33.....226.....6.8......1/1 (4th rd/3rd yr)
Wilson....18/27.....233......8.6......1/0 (3rd rd/7th yr)
Luck.......19/32.....222......6.9......2/1 (1st rd/7th yr)
Watson..29/49.....235......4.8......1/1 (1st rd/2nd yr)

I guess Wilson, luck nor Watson aren't NFL QBs either.

Ugh its a tough situation. Yes he won and thats all that matters but he did not play well for 3 quarters. He only had 1 completion over 20 yds till late in the 4th quarter. So yes we won but I just dont get he is the man stuff. If he plays the way he did against the Rams or Saints we lose. Again im not here to bash Dak. We won. But i just dont get all this praise like he played amazing.
*Yawn*

Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson are outstanding QBs. Deshaun Watson is a highly-touted 1st rounder in his 2nd year.

Dak outplayed them all today.

Aikman has been so negative of Dak every Cowboys game he has commentated.
You know, I usually don’t think Troy is OVERLY negative about the Cowboys/Dak... but the way he went off about Dak’s near INT as if it was a GUARANTEED pick 6 if the DB caught it was a joke.

It was a 50/50 ball that the DB leaped straight up to get his hands on. Gallup was RIGHT behind him. Even if it was picked off (and it would’ve taken a VERY impressive catch by the DB), there’s no way it was getting returned for a TD.

Troy sounds like he doesn't like Dak's ability to lead the team to wins and the playoffs, especially because Dak is not such a pocket pinpoint accurate passer. Troy had two left feet when he played. There is no way he could have ever been able to do the things Dak does with his feet and his arm while on the move. Dak doesn't need to curse out his Oline, receivers or rb to get them to pick up their game. Dak leads by such a cool, collected and positive example while overcoming all odds and not having the best accuracy. Sounds like such Dak qualities bothers Troy.

I love Troy, he has to hit both teams to fill that that "analyst role" for the TV gig. He gets paid very well.

But I totally agree with your point, for everyone one of those "sure pick six" throws the DB actually catches like one in ten. Guess what, TV Intelligencia, if the cornerback could catch that ball every time HE WOULD BE IN THE NFL AS A WIDE RECEIVER AND NOT A CORNERBACK.

to be fair Dak threw a bad pass in the endzone that led to the pick on the drive that should've sealed the game. Instead of leading a wide open receiver with no defender Dak throws it behind, basically leading the defender.

I did like his performance for the most part and I thought he had a good game. Still saw a bunch of what drives me crazy about him.

He also threw the pass across his body in the first half to the right sideline where the Seattle DB has the clear INT and pick 6 but he totally bobbled the easy catch. He’s displayed that yehdehxyvladyvuesr in his worst momentsz

Dak made nice plays. He made a nice audible to a QB run on the first TD, where Seattle has nobody lined up that right side. So he change the play to a To a run kept it and ran left.

He also threw to wide open WRs as a result of Linehan’s play calling. Cooper was WIDE OPEN because of the plays he drew up.

Zeke also wore the Seattle front down. I’m the last QB draw, Collins took off immediately from the 19 to block downfield and the first and only engagement was the safety in cover 2 at around the six.

That was a wide open hole and immediately before that Zeke had the ‘big’ run that was called back because of the hold in which Aikman was saying you could just tell the Seattle front was defeated.

Romo won a playoff game in his third year as a starter.

They were 11-5 and had Felix Jones and Tashard Choice as their running backs and Romo basically put them up 27-7 against the Eagles in the first half. This Roml guy had around 31 ATTEMPTS in the first half per Garrett’s ‘brilliant play calling’. Romk then put them up on the second drive of the second half by his arm again 34-7. Talk about being totally reliant on Romo offensively.

Comparing this playcaller in Linehan to Garrett, and that too with Zeke is comical. Garrett’s version of running the ball that game was to finally do it in the second half after being up 34-7 to run the clock outs

Against the Vikings, which was actually a legitimate defense, the combined power-house of Barber and Felix in the second half when the game was still in reach was basically going backwards. The Garrett offenses couldn’t beat legit defense because Garrett couldn’t field a running game and he totally relied on Romo.

Not sure what you guys are smoking.
