Like he did against Dallas - oh wait, Heath caught him!he did on his 44 yard run. Saquon would have taken it to the house.

lmao.Like he did against Dallas - oh wait, Heath caught him!
zeke, imo, is the best rb in the nfl. no one I would rather have in a one on one swap.
Two huge factors helped us win this game:
1)Zeke's ability to break an inside run outside and make the edge. That was an incredible run.
2)Zeke's ability to come up to the LOS w/ nothing there, and still get 2-6 yards. He did this all game and it was a monster reason why we won.
And no, absolutely no, not just any RB could have done this.
Average to good running backs are easy to replace. You can find other average to good running backs. Elliott is not average or good. He is great. Great running backs are not easily replaced. Replace him with an average running back or even a good running back and the Dallas offense is not as good. Dallas found some average to good running backs to use once they moved on from Emmitt, but they didn't find another great running back until they drafted Elliott.
To claim Elliott isn't a game-changing player and is relatively easily replaced just isn't interesting. It's laughable. Statistical analysis has its value, but this isn't baseball. There are limits to what stats can show. How many times did a player's presence on the field influence the defensive call? Were more defenders kept in the box? Was a safety more or less influenced by play action? Were pass rushers more or less inclined to check the run first? Was a run-stopping DL kept on the field more plays at the expense of pass rush? What about a run-stuffing LB? There are too many variables.
Sometimes one must trust the ol' eyeballs, and the eyeballs don't lie about Elliott's play. He is a great RB. That takes nothing from Prescott who has shown the ability to make plays to win ballgames, which is the point of it all.
What's maybe more interesting is the question of whether an early first round pick should be spent on a great RB. Consider this -- if a team could get five great years from Aaron Donald would it be worth trading an early first round pick to get him? Even if it was understood that he was highly unlikely to be on the new team past five years? I think it would be a worthwhile investment. In the modern NFL, teams and players come and go. If I have a 5-year window in which I have one of the two or three best players at his position, that's awfully valuable.
Certainly RBs tend to have short shelf lives, though there have been exceptions. But if the payoff, during that period, is great, game-changing play, the investment is solid. Elliott has provided that. Whatever one thinks of last year's suspension, it's clear Elliott has had a major role in making the Cowboys a playoff-caliber team when he is on the field. To suggest otherwise is to be less than serious.
Yes. The idea that Zeke is the SOLE and ONLY reason for the teams success is lunacy. What's so difficult to comprehend about that unless you have a "Dak sucks" agenda?

One thing I really like is how Zeke and Dak get along and seem to have each other's back!!
I had many arguments about Cousins. Same type of experience w/ a couple of my buds. He's a paper QB.

Well, we were talking about the 44 yard run where 2-3 defenders had the angle on him but yeah , Saquon is faster, but all plays are different as well and Jeff Heath caught Saquon with very little angle.Maybe like the 8 other plays he had this year that went for at least 40+ yards.
You know, maybe Saquon would've taken it to the house. Possible. But Saquon would not have consistently made those yards to keep the chain moving as Zeke did.You mean the Giants RB that had half his games under 80 yards? That one?

Zeke is plenty fast for a RB, faster than Emmitt was!
