I'm actually open minded to Moore as the new OC but I know that will be the excuse every time Prescott struggles. Teh scheme and all that.

Me too. It gives me something to look forward to--will Moore be absolutely terrible or some prodigy? The unpredictability is very intriguing compared to the offense we've had for years

I have to wonder, if these are the moves and names being mentioned now, who would want to sign on for this?

This has all the earmarks of a 'no change at all', status quo move that will result in nothing more than an internal hire that they will try to sell as "change".

No up and coming OC from another organization would come and work for this idiot owner and trash HC under these conditions

We will pretend like that was the plan all along

They operate with an insular closed system-- trusting only people who they know and have worked with before in some capacity. Most organizations actually look at things like "resumes", "qualifications", "results", and "proven track records" and conduct "interviews" and work candidates through things called "a hiring process".

Not Dallas though... We love to glad-hand and give jobs to guys we're friends with. If you always put results behind relationships-- you run the risk of always failing with people you like to hang out with.

I get the narrative, but maybe I'm missing something here. What type of friendship relationship did Kris Richard have with this organization before coming here last year and basically running the Cowboys' defense?
I think most organizations (football or otherwise) tend to gravitate toward what/who they know with a sprinkling of outside hires for an expanded knowledge/thought process. This isn't really unique.

Just me but I honestly think some fans confusing Moore's ability as a player with that as coach. Remember he was only mock as a player for his lack of arm strength. No one ever questioned his knowledge of the game. In fact, didn't Dak say he was the smartest player in the room his knowledge of X/Os. His dad was a coach and he played in a wild open offense. I know I'm a huge minority on this but I'd love to see what he can do. Young, motivated, knowledgable......probably state up all night designing plays.

I think you're spot on, and yes, we're a huge minority on this.

Call me crazy, but why is this a bad move. Kitna has been praised by both Romo and witten and actually won in the league. I could argue too that’ he’s been dalas’ Best backup qb in 20 plus years

There is a way to do things that breeds success

Being an OC is much more than having been a QB
We have a QB who is lacking in fundamentals of his mechanics and reading defenses
We need an innovative OC from the tree of a HC who is known to push the envelope and think outside the box
This person and his staff will also need to hold our QB to a different standard than he has been held to so far

Moore and Kitna are not those guys
They don't have the experience, the training or the resume to stand up to Dak

The Seahawks are like our sister city. If we're going outside the organization, bringing in someone from Seattle is about as close as you can get to an internal move.

It's happening.

Fast rising and impressive.

Bathe in it.

You can tell Ian is correcting himself after every tweet he makes.

First he says Kitna May come in as QB coach with the rest of the staff in place.

Then somebody probably told him Moore is QB coach and if the staff is in place, then your original tweet is wrong. So he has to change it to Moore possibly getting promoted and Kitna taking the QB position.

But he makes another mistake in his tweet saying Kitna was recently just OC in the AAF Fleet. He wasn’t just OC, because the league hasn’t even started and he has no experience as OC. This is going to be his first year as OC.

Kitna has only been coaching in HS.

This is true, but unless they are willing to extend Garrett, not easy finding a QUALITY coach to work for a team that doesn't trust his head coach more than a year.
