Can you imagine if he gave quotes when asked about this topic like

"Yeah, I kinda suck, so I think I'll give the team a discount."

BS and you are only saying that because of your stupid name on here.

Plenty of people worry about the contract, a major one, that is in the near future. He's a QB, in a league that overpays even borderline starters. Hell yeah people are going to be worried how much he gets when he's not even proven to be a top 15 player at his position consistently.

I mean, the hell? Haha
I understand your thought process, but despite his name, he tends to be pretty level headed with his posts, from what I've seen.

Garrapolo and Carr make nearly $30 million per year and haven’t done anything. So don’t be surprised if that’s in the range.
I don’t expect that
But Wilson makes 21 mil and I expect something around that
The market is the market and those talking about 14-16 mil live in a fantasy world
I think you could make a good argument that Russell Wilson money is pretty fair

I can see that as a reasonable contract.

"Here are team wins, not individual statistics, to try to prop up a single player!"

You're not good at...well, anything.

The very reason you use team wins is due to the fact you don't have much else to praise Prescott about with his performance.

Let's check ratings.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/ne...ighest-graded-quarterbacks-in-the-nfl-in-2018

18. DAK PRESCOTT, DALLAS COWBOYS
Overall Grade: 74.6

The arrival of Amari Cooper helped Prescott a lot, but it still didn’t elevate his play enough to drive him up significantly in overall grade. He recorded 10 big-time throws without Cooper in Weeks 1-8 (seven games) and another 10 with him in Weeks 9-17 (nine games).
So by your numbers since he was rated higher than Carr you think he should get Carr money?

It's clear from the article that he's gunning for the big money. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised, but I am.

From the article:

Prescott doesn’t see Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s team-friendly deal, for which he made just $15 million last season, as a blueprint for his own.

Nobody’s wife makes as much money as his wife does either,” Prescott said of Brady’s supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, who earned $10 million in 2018 and $17.5 million in 2017, per reports. “When Tom Brady isn’t the breadwinner in the home, then that’s a great problem to have."

So in that case, he can do that. He can do his contract however you want to do it.”

I think the team knows how to pay what’s deserved,” Prescott told USA TODAY Sports before the Super Bowl, “and pay those other people at the same time what’s deserved without being frugal.

yes whats deserved but no one will take 15mil right now Bradys cool dude but a rarity I mean guys like Case Keenum make 15 Bortles close to 19 dak will want to be step above that but that doesnt mean he wont accept 20..20s all im willing to give if it was my money and team..

I can see that as a reasonable contract.
I see 20 as reasonable, for one RW is better at this point, won a SB and been to another before he got paid and had agreat year showing improvement in his playin 2018..

we have less taxes in TX as well and cheaper housing if DAK really wants to get real thats reality here..

A single QB getting overpaid does not mean I believe we should overpay ours. Now, do I think Prescott will get overpaid? Yeah, because of our stupid owner.

As for you bringing up Wilson, Russell Wilson is nearing his contract extension which will most likely be bringing him elite QB dollars. We're talking nearly $35 million.

When Wilson got his contract in 2015, he had a Super Bowl ring and another appearance, and coming off an amazing 2015 stretch Dak has never come remotely close to playing at. I mean, Wilson was on fire - 26 TDs to 2 INTs in the last 9 games of the season.

This is pure greed.

Breadwinner in the home? NFL QB's contract is far from it. And openly making a statement like this is utter stupid.

All teams are like this when it comes to the QB position. Not just Jerry. Its a QB driven league. Always has been and always will be. Dak is a known commodity and is young. No thanks on trying to win without him for a player that's a HUGE MAYBE.

Dak on a 3 year deal seem reasonable with that 3rd year being a club option. Its kinda a prove it deal.

He might
He’s signed through next year
The reason a QB is over paid is you can’t win without one and there aren’t 32 good ones
I don’t think Dak is getting 30 mil
I think 21-22 is fair compared to others
He’s not an elite QB but that’s who get the 30 mil contracts

LOL @ this.

It has already happened.

Case in point, our incredibly gullible owner gave away any possible leverage last May by coming out and saying publicly that "He's going to get his extraordinary contract."
what about that "gullible" owner in Minny? You want some kirk Cousins at 100-120 mil? lol....Jerry starting to look better I imagine. lol ..so is Dak.

No owner comes out in the third year of a middling QBs rookie deal and says he's going to give that QB a big contract. Jerry shot his mouth off and Prescott now holds all the cards, he has nothing on the line - his future is set.

That would be ideal but not sure he would go for 3 and if he improves it cost more later
Kind of a gamble for both sides
Does he gamble on himself? Honestly if he does grow and become an upper end QB it works in his favor because salaries aren’t dropping anytime soon
