If Troys thoughts aligns with yours I’m sure you’d appreciate if not then will look for ways to discredit.

These outside opinions serve as support to those who feel the same or insight to those unsure. But if you believe contrary to it’s not likely anything will deter.
Personnally, I don't listen to the so called "experts" I watch the games, and form mu own opinions... I don't need some half wit instructed to toe the party line to tell me how to think and or see with my own eyes... but bleh, that's me.

yea Die I do agree with this part, specially seeing we have no true GM to get quality players to put on the field, offense and defense. Add to that the scrub *** mediocre coaches the same Owner/GM seems happy with, yep sure gonna be tough getting to the big dance again with the mess JJ has built.
Some would argue we’ve built a pretty solid team less an elite QB.

This is the first top 10 defense in years and league leading RB, WR1 and pretty good OL . Can’t help but imagine if we had a QB as talented as Zeke or Coop we might be true contenders despite our dysfunctional organization which has been talent dependent most of this era.

Aikman also said Prescott was the long term solution and they should sign him.

yep, and boy didn't that top 10 D show up in the divisional game for us, and ohh that other great game umm who was it .....AHH Indy...yep, JJ has sure built a great thing here now aint he. And as for a #1 WR, how many game sdid we / Dak play it with the grand idea of WR by committee? Seems, his game play surely changed AFTER they brought us one in... but that's none my business...

No, we don’t need them to tell us how to think but it is comforting when their opinions align with ours. And why most fans gravitate to those who align with their opinions and beliefs.

Sure, he can be the long term solution while still having other weaknesses . They can be one in the same.

Dak brings many tangible assets while still having some issues we’d like to see improve.

I don't think so Percy. I mean, I believe that it's minimal in terms of increase but it's a steady increase. But in general I agree.
It increases for everybody who's played all three years, so in theory it would only come into play for 2-year vets (or 2-year starters), as 2018 rookies wouldn't have enough attempts anyway. And since the average passer rating was actually 2.4 points lower in 2017 than 2016, it's not an issue at all when doing comparisons involving the last 3 years.

So you don’t think it’s valid to compare completion percentage for Dak from 2016-2018 with other QB’s during the same time span?

No, I didn't say that at all. In fact that is the exact opposite of what my position is on the subject.

Yep but where would we have been this year without that top 10 defense. Certainly not in the playoffs with our offense most of the season.

Dak without Cooper is a great example how much elite talent elevates us. It’s not a slam on our other receivers that Coop is elite. Why does it have to be bashing on Dak to recognize what an elite QB could do for our offense?

I agree. Nothing new at all. You can go back further and see how the media really screwed this planet up. I cant put my full thoughts on this site as I might get banned lol.

Nor can I and that is wise. Suffice to say that I would never advocate the inability to disagree with any position. I would only say that in any discussion of value, you must start with a foundation of truth and my opinions, right or wrong are not driven by media buss. I used to listen to a lot of sports radio and/or talk shows but I haven't done that in years. In fact, I stopped listening to them when they stopped reporting sports news and started trying to create sports news.

This whole accuracy thing is total BS.
Dak is accurate.....and Dak is inaccurate. He throws some excellent passes, especially when super focused in the fourth quarter. He throws some stinkers when under pressure or when lazy with his footwork. You guys with agendas make me laugh.

An inaccurate QB, and we’ve all seen them, miss regularly, make receivers contort to catch even the passes they get to. You can’t fix that. Aikman was one of the worst deep passers ever, which was annoying because he was so accurate short and mid-range. But he learned to underthrew open deep receivers rather than overthrow them. That resulted in lots of receptions and short Emmitt TDs.

Dak can improve because he’s not an inaccurate QB. He’s a young QB who sometimes rushes a pass without proper footwork or holds the ball too long and then has to throw from awkward positions....those can be improved.

[/QUOTE]

It's actually increased in almost every year since the early 70s so techically a comparison of any player, year to year is skewed but the variance is slight enough from two years prior that it is within acceptable parameters IMO. BTW, the variance between 2016 and 17 is actually only like .9 percent according to this.

It's not,nor should it be construed as such,,,man alive, diehard, I know the #9 would've had a couple of our " jag" tight ends on that "rookie to superstar tighten up program" of their craft within 5 minutes of Coach GARRETT putting them out on the field,,,:starspin:

This is pure comedy.

You should have just left well-enough alone.

It’s a simple math issue on your part that’s turned into an intellectual honesty issue.

This is your exact claim verbatim:

YES, 150% of 37 is 55.

HOWEVER, you then have to add that number (55) to 37, which results in 92.

92 is “150% more” than 37.

THEN, you could accurately say “The Cowboys have almost 150% more Rushing TDs from 2016-2018.”

HERE’s YOUR PROBLEM

We know the Cowboys didn’t rush for 92 TDs between 2016-18, so your claim (quoted above) is WRONG.

A 4th grader would know when you use the phrase “% more” in this context you’re asking for the percentage increase from a given number (in this case 37).

The correct statement should have been “The Cowboys ran for ~48% more TDs than the Rams between 2016-18...”

We aren’t debating football opinions. This is basic math.

End of story.

No, you are intentionally reading it with that slant for trolling purposes.

Nobody in the context of a football discussion would think that I meant 37 increased to 92.

You can't argue the actual point; therefore you troll.

Leach in this very video said you could improve accuracy.

One thing Leach didn't address is how arm strength affects accuracy. Daks arm is marginal and he has to put more energy into his throws past 15 yards than the top 10 QBs. That to me explains why he struggles with consistent accuracy. His short game isn't bad but after that it's inconsistent. That also answers why he struggles in the red zone and struggles to convert 3rd 7.

Troy has said the same thing.

We are continuing to try and make this work but it is what it is.

Dak can improve his accuracy a bit, since part of the issue is the footwork, which he can work on. I just don't know if the improvement from that will be as big as some of us wish for. Then there are people who keep bringing up his completion percentage, but ignoring the viewpoint that has been brought up before that it is so high because Dak only passes it when he is comfortable that he will complete it, which is the shorter passes and also the reason the number of attempts are so low.

Here I am thinking you're just being coy and intellectually dishonest when the real problem is you sincerely don't understand basic math.

What do you mean "in the context of a football discussion"

Football doesn't transcend math.

You don't get to trot out some bunk math and say "but this is football" and POOF! Suddenly the math makes sense.

IN NO UNIVERSE is 55 "150% more" than 37.
