I woudn't take Tyrod if he played for $1.

He isn't even close to being as good as Dak.

They're basically the same player. Don't really want either, but if they were the only options and at those price points, it's a no brainer. You take Taylor.

Taylor just because i wont bind my fate to a medicore qb.

With that contract that you suggested i could get rid of him after 2 years. That should be enough to find and raise a franchise qb.

LOL...Cut Dak, sign Taylor and your in the SB in two years? :lmao::lmao2::lmao:

I would ignore Taylor and

draft a QB early in 2019, QB comp
draft a QB early again in 2020, QB comp

We have rush and white, if neither look like they're worth a damn then what are they doing here anyway? I want us to bring in QBs without accuracy issues and preferably some pocket awareness so that we can work on other things instead of working backwards. I want to see extra work by the coaches working with the QBs, and vice versa. I wish we could get an update on the progress of the QBs each training camp indicating their biggest weaknesses and how far along they've progressed. But the impression I'm getting is that we're never going to see or hear a thing about our backups. All positions need looked at, QB isn't excluded. If Dak is doing that much better than the rest in practice, training camp and shows steady progression then sure pay him a short term contract, but don't go all in.

Dak made the pro bowl again, made the playoffs and we actually won a playoff game. At what point to you swallow your pride and admit you were wrong?

You do know we have no first round pick this year right? You going to trade half our team to move up? Then what he is going to beat out Dak?

Just curious. If you were the GM, would anyone else consider Tyrod Taylor from the Browns if you could get him for 12-15 million per year? You could use the extra cap space to stack talent around him and load up of defense. Or, would you simply pay the cost for Dak? This is not a Dak bashing post. Just wondering what your thoughts are.
I would seriously consider it, especially if Dak starts to smell his own cologne... I would definitely. Dak isn't so special you stop looking for better

Awesome. Lets ignore are other needs and reach multiple times trying to replace our 2x probowl QB with a career QB rating of 96. I love this place.

2x divisional round loser? With a 96 QBR, I think that's what you meant

You failed to make the point you tried to make.
Give me a 2x division round loser with a 96 QB rating all day....We are not simple minded enough to ignore the positives of being in the divisional round.
If we lost in the superbowl this year you would be here crying how Dak is a superbowl loser. Same dance. Just as stupid.

No one has said anything about a 1st round pick or trading up for one. I see teams move on from "their" guy after they realize he's not the answer after trying so hard to make it work and all I ask is, "Why?". It's always great to look to improve every position. And I wouldn't use the probowl as a basis for a debate.

As someone who is meh on Dak, this thread is offensive to him.

Agree.

I'm all for going cheap at QB as a bridge to drafting a 1st rounder but this aint it.

Just play Cooper Rush so we can completely tank if you're going that route.

Dak is better. You get me Dak at $20MM per for like 3 years? Yeah, I'd take that.

Sure it's unreasonable but I am just telling you what I would like.
