If you think Top executives, owners, CEO.. whatever don't smoke weed you dumb **.

Sheep except alcohol, pills and medications all because it's legal...these are worse than weed.

Some will bash weed than go take CBD oil. Nature cures the human body...man made pills and medications wreck the body cause it's foreign substance hence multiple side effects.

Great.

But the rules are the rules. Would I care if they made weed legal? Nope. I think they should make it legal.

But the reality is there is still a rule in place and somehow, some way dozens and dozens and dozens of other players are able to play football and smoke weed responsibily where they don’t get suspended.

Irving is a moron, plain and simple. He threw away a multi-million dollar career it seems because he has zero self-control.

Irving is an addict. Most people can use weed and not become addicted, but some do become addicted. Just as most people can drink alcohol and not become alcoholic. I'm sure he is saying, "I could quit if I wanted to, but millions of dollars a year isn't enough to make me want to."

Oh, and as far as the league's policy on weed, it isn't just that. The league suspends players for any criminal offense. And, in Texas, where he lives, it is a criminal offense.

Legalization is being pushed everywhere, but Texas will probably be the very last state to legalize it. Irving will be too old to play. He's an idiot.

To be fair, this isn't a binary decision. Another option is to choose not to smoke for a few years and play, while still talking about it and advocating for change.

Additionally, quite a few people on this board would be fired for testing positive for weed without 2nd or 3rd chances. Ridiculous (IMO), but true. Irving has chosen weed and other career opportunities over football. That's fine, it's his choice to make, not ours.

That's cool, my only point is that so many are so cool and so accepting of him taking all them prescription drugs the NFL gives out and any time and any amount.

He isn't wrong about the double standard.

Dudes can get messed up on pain pills, benzos, etc. but can't use a proven, safe alternative.

But, it's still illegal in a lot of states...and the NFL has stated that the players can't use it...

It's incredibly stupid and archaic, but it is what it is.

I knew a young man in his 30's that was self-employed making a nice 6 figures off his internet ventures. He fell to an alcohol-related death at an industry related event.

Idiot!!!
And yes, I would tell him that too his face. Suck it up for a few years, set yourself up for life and then smoke all the weed you want. Pendejo!

He is an idiot. Not only because he can't see the business decision but because he just outed his entire Coaching Staff. This guy is way too stupid to be playing for us.

If I had a kid who’s mom was a nut case and I wanted custody and had to provide for this child and using my natural talent of playing football as a means to support and provide for this child, and make millions.. Then I would choose that over smoking weed. It don’t mean you have to not talk about it or advocate for changing the rules for it. Just stop smoking for a few years. He was only a few dominating years away from being able to retire. Would have made almost 3 million last year. This year would have made more and likely 2020 would have and could have been his last year if he wanted. Could have pocketed millions in a short amount of time and pulled a ricky williams.

I here you. That's your opinion...have you ever thought David doesn't care as much as you do? That doesn't make him an idiot cause he doesn't move like you or value what you do.

He knows the rules and he said **** your rules. Those who judge fail to see their own flaws!!!

The prescription drugs may not be as helpful or possibly more harmful than marijuana. However, any prescription drugs allowed by league policy are not detrimental to Irving's career while marijuana is detrimental. In my opinion, some people would not have any problem with prescription drugs that are not preventing Irving from getting on the field as opposed to marijuana that may keep him off the field for his entire career. In the end, fans simply want their team's player on the field via the least complicated route possible.

Alcohol is literally poison, yet it's sold at games and ppl blindly accept it. That's a sad story because in his right mind he probably would've avoided that situation...prime example.

You still beating around the bush with the words MAY AND MAY NOT....its has already been proven that prescription drugs are more harmful. Yup LEAST COMPLICATED ROUTE POSSIBLE.....kinda proves what i said early was right.

I agree with most of what you are saying but you are missing the boat on this one.
