Premature to judge this offseason until the next one rolls around. This lack of playing with the big boys in FA has 2 division crowns within the last 3 years so I have a hard time calling them on not ponying up.

Thomas got close to 14M a season and that's too rich for a team trying to keep their own players that are going to be close to the top at DE, LB and CB and QB is unknown but if the rumor of 27-30M is true, how do they shop for high priced talent? We can argue keeping our own but we knew the prices were going to be high.

How'd you like to be a Colts fan that started with the most at 107M and signed a questionable #2WR to a 1 year deal? I had them down as a player and they decided to stay home.

Tate is still a good player but will definitely be out of our price range.

Tate is 30 years old and his last contract was 31 Million over 5 years. That isn't a lot of coin, also Beasley's deal in Buffalo only guaranteed him 14 Million.

I know everybody is tired of hearing this and the thread will probably be merged anyway, but here it goes.

I’ve, for the most part, defended the FO strategy of not being too aggressive on top level free agents. I didn’t like that we were missing out on those guys, but saw incremental improvement and hoped their strategy would eventually pay off and be a sustainable way to keep the team SB competitive.

Helman’s latest tweet said we would continue this strategy now for the 6th year in a row. Where has this gotten us? Nowhere. We lucked into Prescott. If we had it our way, we would be stuck with Paxton Lynch as our QB. Maybe we overestimate how shrewd we are in the draft. Other teams use all available resources to make big turnarounds in much shorter time.

The FO strategy is only going to keep us perpetually stagnant. ET probably would’ve been a Cowboy for 4/$52M and would be a multiplier for our defense. Yet the FO quibbles over $2M/year while having no problem giving money to an unretiring Jason Witten, Jamize Olawale, and picking up $6.25M on Hurns who just suffered a horrific leg injury. This makes zero sense. The FO continues to show their incompetence and can’t be defended anymore.

lol maybe you guys need a break from offseason...Every offseason

But just a reminder...

Most wins the last 3 yrs

1. Patriots
2.Cowboys

3.Everybody else.

I understand in the era of ADHD the attention span and the inability to relax is nonexistent. But please try

Yeah. Let’s chill out. We’re averaging 9 or so wins per season and make it to the playoffs half the time. What’s there more to want?

Can you back that claim up with #’s?

LOL...……….there are several threads on here outlining the updated salary cap and plenty on the net. Otherwise, do your own homework. Or don't believe me.

with this team theyre fielding theyre avgn 10 wins a yr 2nd to only the patriots.

Have 2 playoff births
have a 2time leading rusher.
have a QB with more winning drives then anybody.
Young WRs
Defense improving every yr.

yeah theyre on the bottom of the NFL.

This team has an avg age of 25.

People like you need to learn to enjoy the ride because its the best part. I know today people like you are incapable to enjoying anything that doesnt fit the highest of your expectations. And thats a sad thing.

I can understand if this team was in the campo era but this team isnt and the organization isnt. This FO has been knocking it out of the park the last 3 yrs. People like you are just never going to be satisfied unless the team is doing things exactly the way you want. So expect to continually be disappointed and miserable.

We have been counting on incremental change leading to major success since Romo had a good back. Some have become rightly skeptical that this strategy is going to pay off.

There is very little left from the Romo time. Witten is the only one in the skill positions. So to say that is so far off point.

No way I would pay Earl Thomas that much for a guy over 30 coming off just having his knee obliterated.

Personally I'd be more concerned DLaw isn't locked up and content.

Ok genius. So tell me then. After Tank's 20 million salary this year, how much do we have left?

Heres the updated numbers with Tank in there on the Franchise:

Scroll all the way to the bottom an see the 25 million left. Any more questions?

We have 25 million in cap space and that’s counting Lawrence @ 20 million. Just to clear things up.

This is the type of stuff that cracks me up...you obviously have absolutely no clue what you are talking about, yet you are going to insult me and try to argue.

He’s already under contract “genius”...for $20M. And we still have around $21M to spend right now. A D Law extension would actually GAIN the cowboys cap space.

LOL...……...so I said we have 25 million and you are saying we have 21 million? So your arguing because you think Im off 4 million on cap numbers? LOL

So being off 4 million, even though its 25 million not 21 million, is having no clue?

Are you off your meds? Honestly.
