He uses his 1st round pick on a DL.
2nd round

the money has to go to somebodyThe Angels just gave a guy a half a billion dollars. Which top the third of a billion Philly gave to a guy.
Aaron Rodgers was given more money than Lambeau Field is worth.
LeBron makes more than the entire Bulls roster did in the 90s.
Messi makes more than $100 million per season.
Pro sports has jumped the shark.
That's all fine and dandy but I don't think Lawrence really wants to hear Garrett talk about salary cap responsibility. I mean in the end, the Cowboys are offering him a really large contract that's going to have salary cap implications down the road anyway, so the HC telling him they need to be more responsible with the cap in this contract when they are likely only quibbling over a few million per year isn't going to sit well.
You want real salary cap responsibility? Don't sign him at all. Trade him and look for cheaper options at DE (which I am coming around to that idea if you can get Quinn and then consider Ansah for less).
This is nothing but Garrett being a public mouthpiece for Jerry. It's probably not going to sit well with Lawrence and his camp.
if a worse player makes more why should he settle for less just to be niceIf you can't live on 20M per year maybe taking some finacial and accounting classes might be a wise investment.

I'm a capitalist, but the very high end of the entertainment industry really is it's dark underbelly. The Angels just gave a guy a half a billion dollars. Which top the third of a billion Philly gave to a guy.

How about 10,000 Joe Shmoes and their families? How about all the homeless veterans and elderly taxpayers eating cat food?
for what, I am not entertained by anything in that group except elderly tax payers eating cat food -- point me to that footageHow about 10,000 Joe Shmoes and their families? How about all the homeless veterans and elderly taxpayers eating cat food?
Ignoring the fact that giving 10,000 people a one-time $10K payout (assuming a $100M contract) wouldn't solve anything long term, why is always pro sports that people have a problem with? Why does no one say we should redistribute the $300M Disney spent on Avengers Infinity War?
Just like the movies, football is an entertainment business. Jerry Jones pays D-Law that much because D-Law earns him that much, and that money comes from millions of fans just like you and me. In the end, we're the ones who make D-Law worth $100 million, and we're the ones who ultimately pay him too.

not worth 20 mil a year for sure but the NFL is a company, we as fans contribute to that company and the money that company generates will go back into itself. The money is going to go somewhere within the company regardless.Must the common good ALSO supply you with entertainment? To be honest, though, I’m not sure how entertaining it would be, watching Gramps knoshing on Friskies.
And it’s a shame, too! We need to fix it. Not just athletes. Musicians, actors, politicians, etc.
Yeah, a one time sum of 10k is not really life changing, but I’d wager a few hundred people would make enough wise investments to positively impact a lot of people.
Imagine this. If we took half of the money from all the athletes, entertainers, celebrities and politicians, we’d have trillions, and they’d STILL be financially well off!
That is not what it is about. If you can't live on 20M per year maybe taking some finacial and accounting classes might be a wise investment.
What are those people investing in?
Businesses... just like the NFL.
That is not what it is about.
I could say the same thing about a player making 2 mil a year. I could live on that quite easily lol.
I think he wants off the dallas team and away from the jones boys and garrett
I disagree. Most fans don’t care how much players make, except for the impact it has on the salary cap.
The actual amount of money doesn’t matter to most.
