The Steelers got a Superbowl championship thanks to having players in Watt and Switzer, whom the Cowboys didn't want.
Switzer has a ring? Boy am I late.

If you saw the video when they made the selection Jerry emphasizes to Taco how much Garrett wanted him and how hard he was campaigning for him.
I've never heard Jerry say that to another player.
Who knows what goes on in that circus of a war room.
Yep which produced the same results it always has the last decade plus which is vastly overrated because of regular season success. And mince meat in the playoffs.
well that and KR was in his first year and there was a huge improvement in the secondary and overall defensive play. i believe KR took over play calling too. so this is a rod thing.
Turns out they have to better than pretty good to win those games. If you're okay with the same bad ending to seasons we're guaranteed and being a glutton for punishment then be my guest. I am tired for the 'Boys being the NFL's Murphy's Law team.Turns out, you need pretty good teams to get to those championship games.

McClay really liked TJ that year. The coaches (Rod) thought Taco would be a better fit because he played with his hand in the dirt in college, whereas Watt was more of a projection since he mostly rushed the passer while standing.
Imagine where this defense would be if we had Watt at RE. Rod gotta go.

I'm curious. What do you think the main underlying issues are with the cowboys? You say you're tired, but yet you advocate doing the same old thing we've been doing since Jimmy quit and are trying to tell me that's the solution for getting over the hump. I'm the one saying we ought to be more honest with what the issues actually are, and at least be talking about changing the things that are getting in the way of getting back to a championship game.
But I guess if you're ok with the same endings to seasons we've been seeing the last two decades, I won't be able to change your mind, will I?

Has Watt proved he could play with his hand on the ground? He plays OLB still. Just because he does it in the 3-4 doesnt mean he could do it in the 4-3. Ware couldnt do it in the 4-3 either.

Your Edge rushes are only as good as your defensive tackles. If you can't put pressure on the quarterback up the middle your Edge rushers just can't get there. All the quarterback needs to do is Step Up. They have to help each other but I think everybody knows that. If you can't get pressure up the middle you can't win in this leagueTaco was one of my favorites in that draft.
loved his size...and attitude at Michigan.
but something is different...and Im not gonna defend this pick any more.
time for Taco to get up....or get out.
Defensive tackle strong safety. And some good backup rotational players. Prescott I believe he needs the most work at his intermediate pass. Over the linebacker before the corner. For him it's all about confidence and he seems to be gaining that. Youngest starting team in the league third-youngest overall. I like what I'm seeing going forwardTo start, I think we’re a lot closer than most people think. We need to be slightly more agressive in VFA. Dak needs to take the next sep forward. And Jerry needs to back off with the undermining of his coaches, injecting distractions in the middle of the season, and he needs to stop the open door policy of letting players and coaches come to him directly when they’d not happy. Like he just did again this offseason about the offensive design. Just get out of the way.
Not without great defensive tackle play he won't. Let's just hope he gets that supportTaco will have 12 sacks this coming season.
