When you are thinking of ridding of a player in their prime, yes, it’s best to have a replacement plan. Unless you think it’s better to go into the season with no legitimate pass rush...

You might be right on that. It's hard to find the rules on this specifically. Is he still considered under contract if he doesn't sign? Another thing hard to find, is he under an exclusive or non exclusive tag?

You can't come in at the last thread post and think you're going to get the entire conversation correct. I mean who does that. Exactly correct useless speculation because a franchise is going to do what they always do. Only one time has the franchise responded to the fan forum and that was the old site. Everybody wanted a defensive tackle and they didn't understand why Crawford wasn't good enough.
