I have no idea if he can get down the mental part of the game, but he has a better arm than Dak. I'd take him if you think Moore can develop him, even if you kept Dak. People pay big for good QB's and keeping a good one around for injury or trade is seldom a bad idea.

No selective memory at all. I love Dak as a leader of men, I just wish he was more than a linebacker playing QB, but with the right supporting cast it may work out but he will never be a qb that is going to rip it up and down the field at will.
That wasn’t Romo either. Romo best year came when he was more careful with the football. And to say Dak is a linebacker playing qb is extreme.

question is we know what dak is and what his ceiling is. is Haskins celing higher? if yes, then you make the move.... you keep Dak for the next two years and see what you have in Haskins, and if Haskins is good, you let Dak walk....if Dak is good enough, then you sign Dak and you trade haskins....worst case scenario...you waste a 2nd round pick.
We don’t know Dak’s ceiling though. Impossible to know.

I wouldnt pick Haskins even if he slips to 58 ,Dak is way better than him.
That's just crazy thinking.:omg:Don't care about draft hype. I watched every game the kid has played. Dak is more of a run threat, but Haskins has a golden Arm. Haskins is not making it out of the Top 15.

I'm pretty certain Dwayne Haskins is better than Daniel Jones. My buddy who's a diehard Duke fan doesn't even speak highly of Daniel Jones anymore, although he used to hype him up a lot.

the OP just asked a question and its the same old answers.

Draft: This just in the Dallas Cowboys have the second pick in the draft.

Cowboy fans: Why, no one will be there, all the players are picked in the first spot.

Reality: Players have dropped numerous times and we have 7 rounds.

Cowboy fans: Stupid reality.

Trust me, 70 percent of the board had Zeke and the rest of the draft gone in the first pick

Than what happens, "this question is stupid, but i ll reply with an even worse answer"

Personally I dont know Floaty, im bad with the scouting this year, what are your pros and cons for the QB?

The Pros....

Higher upside than Dak

Saves you from having to spend big money on a so-so QB.

Allows you to keep the core of your football team together..without losing prized free agents.

Opens the window to spend on new incoming free agents...rather sinking money into a QB that has shown signs he likes to party.

The Cons...

Breaking in a new QB

There is no guarantee Haskins will be better.

Do you draft him to replace Dak?

Just look @ it this way....Your saving money by not extending Dak...and giving him Tony Romo money...which he isn't worth it.

Rumors are floating around that he may be slipping.

when was the last Ohio State qb to do well in the league? was there ever one?

We save money, but we spin our wheels because we're not fixing the areas of the team that are the reason why we're not making Super Bowls.

I'm not for strategies that try to fix what isn't broken. It's like those who wanted to trade Lawrence for a draft pick when the likelihood that you are going to then be able to find Lawrence's equal in the draft isn't that high, and even if you did, you just blew your draft pick getting the same caliber of player.

We need to actually target areas that clearly need improvement. If we get all of those areas fixed, then we can talk about trying to upgrade other spots. But you know what, we'll never get there because there are always areas that need fixing.

No. Dak has some really good qualities. Plus let him build off the second half of last season and evaluate things at the end of next season. I think Dak is going to have a solid year next season. This offence should be better, we added fredbeard, Witten, cobb, a full season with Cooper and Gallups second season...

Don't be silly. If we draft a QB like that he has to compete with Prescott just like Prescott competed with Romo. He would start out competeing with White/Rush. Do you think he would sign here with those constrictions and restrictions? Not too ******* likely! It is a meritocracy isn't it? In other words you gotta earn it Floaty and he hasn't earned anything yet!
dak didnt compete with romo, or kellen, they both got hurt so Dak just was thrust into a starting role.
He would start out competeing with White/Rush.......yes but being a 2nd round pick he would rank way above those 2.
