What if he isn't the top guy left on the Dallas board when #58 comes up? Bet you that Dallas takes the highest rated guy on their board regardless of position. Don't get your hopes up for one guy because most likely ain't going to happen.

We desperately need a free not a strong safety.

Woods sucks ins space. He can take over the strong part. At least he can tackle.

And i dont want to even get into that Heath conversation. This guy just needs another job. Walmart or something like this.

I disagree. I see it completely opposite. think we need to upgrade SS and Woods is good (and will get batter) at FS. I have issues with Woods tackling near the line.

Our front office hasn’t been shy about telling players they plan on drafting them if they make it to our pick. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case here, maybe even told him if they have a chance to go up and get him they will.

That’s my thought. How can he do this with how the draft works lol hey willie mcginest thought he was a cowboy and it was going to happen anddddd he was s patriot legend. Don’t put the cart before the horse jonny. Even thought I’d be happy with picking him

If you are a top 10 pick you might get picked by who you think will pick you
After that it’s a real crap shoot
If he’s there, he is a good player
But every team knows every other teams needs so someone just below us could trade up a few and pick him
Max Unger would have been a cowboy but someone moved up and got him

I think he had dinner with Jerry. When NFL.com revised their rankings post combine he was the number one safety. I might give the compensatory pick if he fell to the late second round but otherwise let the picks come to us.

Woods had something like the 5th best passer rating against at free safety last year

Abram is one of my favorites for us at S, yes probably gone way before we pick, only hope is if he somehow drops a bit which is doubtful and if we made a small trade up using a 4th or so.

Abram will be off the board by first couple of picks on day 2, if not the end of rd 1. As for Rapp, I'd rather have Gardner-Johnson. He's the only one of the 2 that shows the range/coverage of an NFL FS. Hopefully CGJ falls within striking distance for a small trade-up. I think Rapp will be there at 58, to the surprise of many. I'd actually rather have Thornhill than Rapp, if we're looking for an upgrade over Woods.

I'd be fine trading up for him if it only costs our 58 and 4th round pick.

If not, I'd prefer staying put and drafting BPA, hopefully Safety (Thronhill or Rapp), DT, or RB (David Montgomery).

I agree with this. Our 3rd is too valuable and we need for a DT. We need one 4th for a RB. But I'm not sure two 4th round picks make this team, so I'm OK trading the other 4th.

Well at least if we trade up, we can skip day one and a majority of day two in the draft

He apparently has been working out in the Dallas area and has been inquiring about school systems in the area for his young daughter...

Thoughts?

I heard that story with ET a few months back. How he was moving to the area and it was a done deal. Beware of crack attacks. There are no guarantees of where any player will go in the draft outside of the top 5.
