Outside this board, the Cowboys are getting some good grades for this draft

This kind of comment is so silly. Of course they are useless. How is any fan or media discussion of the draft useful?
media grades, fan grades team grades are often wrong, and they are useless, only time will tell if the players get a chance to play.
Some will never get on the field except PS.
Fan discussion is fun and something to do lol so it isnt useless.

Good news but man they gave A grades to most of the teams I looked at. Skins and Giants got a B. There were a few C’s but they were pretty good to most teams
With the exception of the Saints, all of the nfc received good grades, so hmmm.

"Another not so glamours pick for the arm chair fans but a great player in the 3rd rd. He will help this team this year."

"Great pick. Now we’ll have some push up the middle which is what this defense has been lacking to become elite. Can’t wait for the season."

"Great pick. This guy is just what the DLine has needed for years. DT/NT with a quick twitch that can put pressure from the interior. Nice."

"Who says he’s going to be on the inactive list? No one. It’s the 3rd rd. He was by far the BPA and you can’t have enough depth on the OL. I guess you wanted an EarlThomas or something like that."

All your quotes. How is that not grading the draft? That's you liking and agreeing with the picks. Just like you giving it an A or a B. That's all people are doing when giving it a grade.

If someone gives it an A then they liked it. If someone gives it a F they didn't like it. The grade is just a quick summary of how the feel about the draft.

"You don’t grade a draft until after 3 years." That's true and most know that but why even discuss it and why say you love certain picks? Why debate others who disagee with your take of liking the picks? Your right, they dont know if it was a bad pick but you dont know if it was a good pick. But you have no issues letting them know that you think they are wrong but take issue if they think you are wrong. If you dont really know until after 3 years, then why not wait until 2022 to give your opinion? Why post on how good the picks were? If others should wait, why don't you?
*burn baby burn*

I don't care about what anyone says/grades,,, I care about the grade most fans here will see when the pads come on and we are in preseason evaluations.
Cards will sort themselves out as they land on the table, no different than every other year.

Totally agree but honestly I’m not sure we will see much contribution from this class in 2019.
Don’t see one starter in 2019, will be 2020 before we know anything about this class

I always get a kick out of this sites uproar over the draft. People only like the players they know. People don’t know or have seen any of these players so it’s a bad draft. Remember what happened when we got LVE last year?

We were never going to see much contribution anyway. This team is deep and without a first round pick.

Yep true, but I thought there was a shot for someone like Thornhill or another one of several early round Ss that might’ve had a shot to start.
The second part, and I agree our roster is really good, why hasn’t it translated to more playoff wins? Ha I know, wounds meet salt

It’s fun to speculate and grade drafts every year. Realistically however, who the heck knows how it will turn out. One thing is for certain, it’s kinda pointless to argue over it at this point. Anyways.....

Discussion is a lot different than a letter grade smart guy.
Nope
A letter grade is a persons opinion

A discussion is one expressing ones detailed opinion with their understanding of facts and information leading to said opinion

So what did we need most ? Arguably D-line and safety and back up RB. I think they did a good job addressing D-line in FA and draft. I like the O-line pick

An argument can be made that we didn’t address safety again but we don’t know for sure what their plans are perhaps one of cb’s are actually gonna be moved to safety

I think the cowboys have the youngest starting line up in football what they lack is depth and to plan for the loss of 2020 players and I think they have done that

We’ll see how these players pan out if they pan out at all but I like the draft

The only think I could complain about is no safety but just because they didn’t address it with #58 don’t mean they didn’t upgrade it. FA pick up will help.

If you want to truly upgrade it cut#38 and let these other guys compete

Well last year while I think our roster was deep I don’t think it’s as good as the Saints or Rams and let’s not even talk about the coaching those teams have lol.

Each of the NFL.com analysts gave the Cowboys an A for their second day picks:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...quicksnap-grades-for-every-team-through-day-2

Pete Prisco is also giving solid grades. He especially loved the Hill pick.

Grades are really just an ego thing for fans at this point. I seriously doubt that any FO looks them up and worries that some hack writer gave them a bad grade or some hack writer gave them a good grade. Fans, meh, we look at them and compare them to the Iggles, Gnats and Skins. If we beat them there we can beat them anywhere lol

And yet you constantly whine about the whinners...…..from thread to thread to thread...…...same thing, day after day after day.

The truth is that I do not hate everything this team does and, unlike you, I also do not love everything this team does. I hated our first pick, but I really liked our second pick and even posted that it was a good pick in the draft thread. Go look it up if you dont believe me. Even back in free agency. I said I hated not signing ET, but I loved the signing of Randal Cobb and the trade for Quinn.

See, things are not just black and white where you either hate everything or you just love everything. There are things this team does I really like, and there are things this team does that I really hate. And I post about both of them. Doesn't make me a homer and it doesn't make me a hater either. Its called being a realistic fan. I root for the team, but at the same time I am not afraid to point out mistakes that are made.

At the end of the day, the goal is to challenge for a SB by making deep playoff runs on a regular basis. Using this standard, even Stephen Jones admits that "this team needs to get over the hump". The results under Jason Garrett have not been good enough.
Yet you only post on the things you hate again and again and again.

I liked what we did in the draft. I did not want to see Heath on the field every down though. He only needs to see the field in nickle downs and ST. That is when he excels.

Best way to look at it We entered the draft needing RB, OL, DL. Nailed all three.

Complaining over names is all just personal preference
