This place cracks me up....and over-rates it's players so bad. BREAKING NEWS.....Elliott has peaked already as a player.

If you can't see the signs he's already wearing down...I'm sorry...you need to turn in your armchair GM badge right this minute.

People need to realize...this is Earl Campbell 2.0

He's not going to play 12 years like Emmiitt....@ a high level. He's just not. He takes too much punishment as a runner. Doesn't have any elusiveness in his game. His vision to hit the hole....is hit or miss @ best. Throw in ...his stupidity... off field garbage....and our best bet would be to trade him while he still has some value.

But we won't....Instead we will make the huge mistake of giving this guy a huge contract. This will make the Marion Barber deal look like a steal...People have forgot already...the regret over that deal.

So, he’s wearing down after yet another rushing title. OK Sherlock. LOL

Zeke is only used as a checkdown with the occasional screen thrown in there. Kamara and Barkley are both schemed to get touches in space. That's a big, big difference.

Barkley had more yards after the catch than he had total receiving yards... it was all checkdowns.

This is impossible. YAC is a part of receiving yards.

There is a difference between a checkdown and a quick, short throw or a screen.

OK .......I'll concede Barley, maybe, but no way in hell I'm putting Bell or Kamara over Zeke.

Ezekiel Elliott is perhaps the best running back in football. This is a common assumption.

Zeke has been in the NFL for three seasons now and has two rushing titles decorating his mantle. He may very well have a third if not for his much-debated suspension in 2017, but still, two out of three is very good. In fact, it’s elite.

To many, Elliott is the gold standard at the running back position. He excels in every way that a running back should, his lone weak spot is contributions via the passing game, and that’s more Scott Linehan’s fault than anything else.

He’s definitely a top three numbskull.

Elliot is the best running back in the NFL and for anyone to say otherwise is flat out foolery

He has no glaring flaws....he can catch he can block he can run

There’s honestly no other running back I would rather have

Zeke is hands down the active rushing champ. How can an argument for anyone else be made based on stats? Sure, other people can have a personal favorite but that's no this and this ain't that. So let's stick with the stats. Zeke is the man!

77 catches is an afterthought?
imagine if they really wanted to get him involved. he ran a lot of screens, and was a dump off outlet for Dak….. but he can do more.... they should get him really involved. he can have Kamara like impact on passing game

To be fair, Zeke did rank 35th in Elusiveness rating in 2018, and 40th in 2017, and 31st his rookie year.

Take it for whatever it's worth, but Zeke and elusive were mentioned so I figured I'd share.

Yeah I won’t argue that Zeke is a very elusive back. I think it has to be taken into consideration with the type of back he is though. For his size/strength he has good elusiveness. He isn’t a scat back. He is a workhorse grinder and one of the most powerful runners in the game.

This is also the same guy who literally jumps over defenders and keeps going afterward. So him saying he has no elusiveness is just nonsense.

As a pure RB, of course he’s at the top, but for teams like NO and Carolina, it’s very unlikely they’d trade their RBs for Zeke because they have built their offenses around a certain type of back and prefer throwing passes to them in the open field to grinding it out with handoffs.

So, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some teams prefer a Barry Sanders or Tony Dorsett over an Earl Campbell or John Riggins.

And those teams that don't prioritize RBs that do their damage with open space and getting their RBs in that position are way behind the times and doing their team a disservice in the W-L column

This, some seems to think he is a Barry Sanders or Gale Sawyers type and he is not.

I'm curious

Say any random runningback has 40 more rush attempt than any other runningback in the league

Would you expect them to
A) Lead the league in rushing
B) Not lead the league in rushing

Remember even after missing 6 games Zeke still almost got his 1000 yards. And with the salary we are paying that OL, I want them pounding the rock.

Zeke is the best back in the game and it isn't close.

It's interesting.

You harp on and on about Dak being on a downward trend using stats strictly because he had a great rookie year, and yet here you are claiming Zeke is the best back despite him not producing near his rookie year levels.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Remember when McFadden only started 10 games in 2015 just like Zeke and also got 1,000 yards, just on less rushes than Zeke.

That really doesn't get talked about enough.
