He was judged to be innocent by both. Ergo your rant comes under the heading of blather. You take obtuse to an extreme in order to justify your stance. You are wrong both factually and legally.
Wow. Going all lawyer and physics on me. How about we be honest and ditch the *********? What would you do if someone knocked you down?

Have you noticed that most apologies from celebrities sound as if written by attorneys? That's because they are.
Exactly. It's like telling my nephew to stop doing what he's doing, and he apologizes right before doing it again.

I hear that jail has decent bologna sandwiches. Not that I would know anything about that.
Lol, I swear to deities that I almost put bologna sandwiches in there but figured no one would get it. I know you do, it’s a real thing. I’ll never forget the stains from the “corn chips” that soaked through the white paper bag. And that pay phone on the south side of the jail...holy friggin cow, how much money was in that thing? Before cell phones were even a thing that was the ONE phone everyone used to call their buddies to come pick them up at. No directions needed.

Jesus, I feel like I have to hold hands sometimes when having a discussion.

That’s fine you feel that way but can you please elaborate and provide examples?[/
  1. As a history major, I like to look at the past and there’s plenty there to see. It helps me understand why a lot of people and cultures think the way they do, perhaps some people wouldn’t be so judgmental if they understood this as well.

The past can also be an indicator of the future and some people can either learn from it or ignore it, so far Zeke falls under the latter. Not saying he can’t change, lots of us do/have changed, but he certainly hasn’t given me any reasons to be optimistic.

If you can’t see that the young man has grown just in this year then you’re not being objective. Yes this particular action was dumb. But a truly objective person wouldn’t say Zeke “hasn’t given ANY reason”. Just this year he’s shown himself to have a good spirit.

I can't say I actually ate the bologna sandwich or the chips. I gave it a hard pass. I call it the jail diet. Be careful traveling between Austin and Dallas. Years ago I got arrested on the way back to Austin because I let my CCL expire and had a handgun in the car. That is not actually a crime in Texas because you're allowed to travel between counties with a firearm but the cop didn't know that. The charges were eventually dismissed but it cost me 2K in lawyer fees and my $900 pistol was mysteriously lost. Anyway, they drove me about 45 minutes to a place called "Cleburne". That made the Travis County jail look like a country club and the food looked even worse. Strip searched and told to spread 'em. I spent over 48 hours in that craphole.

He’s already got off scot-free from the league which apparently fueled this charge for “accountability”.

It will be interesting to see if the league reacts differently with charges being filed. They’ll probably wait and see how it unfolds.

If I started it because of my big mouth, I'd be the one apologizing and would be thankful that's all that happened.

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
If you get knocked down you gotta get back up.
I ain't the brightest bulb but I know enough
If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough.

Or... press charges against him while officers have him detained in handcuffs. Winning money in a civil case doesn't take the dangerous, "bully," off the streets.

Are you acquainted with tort law, muffin?

If so, you'd know that tort (not tart like your sweetie) is designed to punish a person or group or business with civil penalties. The framers of U.S. and English tort law intended to 1. Make sure the same injurious action by the defendant does not reoccur via sanctions and 2. That the injured person or group is compensated for physical injury, defamation, conversion or false imprisonment.

In other words, if little Zeke uses battery again, he knows of his coming liability. Liability is designed to punish and help avoid future incidents. Think of it as a Gooddell suspension.

Now, are you saying if I pushed down your mom or you that that is OK with you? A civil action against me won't take me off the streets, but it might make me think twice about making you cry again, oaf.

Someone just inform that 'security guard' that he should be keeping up with agenda's of people exhibiting a criminal agenda and targets of opportunity. Then inform him that physical contact is a last resort, reserved for injury to another or commission of a felony.

To the point, he's not keeper of the dungeon.

Huh? I know you like to push buttons but are you saying that the guard mouthed off to Zeke which gave Zeke the right to put his hands on him?
