Disagree. Zeke should play out this 4th year. He's scheduled to make $3.8 million. That's not chump change. He could easily renegotiate his contract a year from now before training camp starts. It would work out for both him and the team, but no, he's simply being greedy. You know it. I know it. Everybody knows it. Quit making excuses for him. Excuses are what disloyal people create to cover up for their unwillingness to honor their original contract.

The report came from a place a few minutes from The Star in Frisco, TX, and said it looked like Zeke just finished a workout.

It's only reliable to the public if it's a named source. Without a direct quote from someone directly involved in whatever the article is about then for all the public knows is it could be something made up. You may believe articles with unnamed sources but I don't. To many times unnamed sources have turned out to be someone telling a reporter something that they say was told to them by someone directly involved with the story and what that person told the reporter was either not all true or completely false.

The rules were set a long time ago concerning contract extension negotiations during the last year of existing contracts. Not anytime sooner. That's how Aikman did it. That's how Emmitt did it, and that's how Romo did it. It was about mutual respect for the team and organization. Team precedent shouldn't suddenly be redone over 1 player. It sets the wrong precedent and headaches to come with other players in the near future.
