An emotional stanley that cant take criticism of the guy he idols so he resorts to corny disses to a player no longer on this team and the person who criticized his idol

Typical behavior to a basement dweller with no-life. These are the Stans i speak of

He isnt qualified to discuss the game with me but i figure’d I would show you classic STANLEY behavior
“I’m not a loser! You’re a loser!”

:angry::angry::angry:

Awww, I’ve got you pegged.

Yeah, I’m a “stan” of the Cowboys starting QB and I’m a Cowboys fan.

And you’re a “stan” of an unemployed man who plays video games all day.

He wants to be highest paid, based off what? He has issues with accuracy, can't carry a team on his back, and only has a high percentage throwing the ball because most of his throws are short range

Real fans don't need numbers to see he struggles with throwing a WR open ( if you have proof post a video of him doing it multiple times), throwing in tight windows, and deep/intermediate passes.

He knows this, he knows he's not that good. He knows this is his only chance to cash out, because he knows he might get exposed as not to good(like flacco), especially if Zeke doesn't play.

He's trying to scam us and strong arm us because really and truly I do agree with him, right now we have no better option. Doesn't make him a great option, just a convenient option. He knows Jerry can get desperate.

Let the guy play and show the world who he really is. If he balls out, I'll for sure rue. But I doubt he can put together a great season, and wow most of us.

Prescott will go down in Cowboy history as the biggest "Con" ever.
We have wasted already great talents(Romo,Byrant,Zeke?) and years waiting for this glorified Bus Driver to show franchise pedigree........we are still waiting...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

You're cherry picking my comment. Lol

"If I cherry pick numbers to push my agenda, then what do you call your numbers to push your agenda?"

From my 1st comment. ^^^^^ what you bolded was in case you don't have numbers and you use the famous "eye test" because that's usually the go to when the numbers don't fit the agenda.

Once again, I'll ask, if my numbers are cherry picking to fit my agenda, what do you call yours?

What they signed for is irrelevant. The discussion is what they asked for. Every starting QB in the league - really, ever player - is asking for "more" than they are worth.
depends on how much they are asking for, if its realistic and reasonable, deals tend to get done quickly. if Brady asked for 45 mill a year, you figure it would take much longer to get a deal done. if he asked for something reasonable, deals tend to get done more quickly. its also dependent on what the team thinks of you. If they think the players is at top 5 in the league, then they tend to make deals quickly. Brees certainly was top 5 at the time so the team rewarded him.

Dak is trying to Scam the cowboys
.
That is hilarious.

So who are you going to blame for pulling the wool over Jerry Jones' eyes? Dak Prescott? Or Jerry Jones?

~riiiinnngggg~

Jones: Hello. This is Jerry Jones. Owner, President and General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys speaking.
Prescott: Hey boss.
Jones: That's you Dak?
Prescott: Yeah. Look. I'm in trouble.
Jones: Trouble? What trouble?
Prescott: I got arrested.
Jones: Arrested?!?
Prescott: Yeah. That's not important. The important thing is I cannot afford bail.
Jones: Well, how much does it cost?
Prescott: 140 million.
Jones: A HUNDRED AND 40 MILLION DOLLARS!
Prescott: Yeah.
Jones: Well alrighty then. Who do I make out the check to?
Prescott: Make it payable to me. I will take care of the rest.
Jones: Done. I love you Dak.
Prescott: I love you to Jerry. <click>
Jones: haha. That's Prescott for ya. He's so honest.

At some point that inflation is going to stop and that will no longer be the case. Just so happens this next recession will roughly coincide with this next CBA, so some people are in for a big surprise.

I'm just thinking outside the box here... Hear me all the way out with what I'm about to say before anyone jumps.

I don't think physical performance matters. It's a numbers play. Let's say (for example) Dak threw for 1000 yards (it doesn't matter is it was (qty 20) 50 yard passes or (qty 500) 2 yard passes. My point is stat numbers are stat numbers.

now

It is my understanding (and if I'm wrong please don't hold it against me), The market says Dak is worth 30 mil a year (or there abouts). The understanding I have of how the market works is they look at how long so and so has been in the league. They look at stat numbers, they look at where the player ranks based on the stats, Let's say Dak is top 5. They look at (for example) who # 4 is (and how much that player makes) and who #6 is (and how much that player makes) and figure the market for Dak would be X (in this case around 30 mil a year).

It doesn't matter whether we think (or the FO thinks) he's worth that or not... It is what the market says he's worth.

This is why I said for the longest time (for your biggest contracts), If you really want that player to stay, offer them the market rate right at the end of the season that the player's contract is up. Tell them they have an X amount of time to respond or you (the FO) go shopping... Don't give these players time to hee haw around and wait for market values to go up..

That's exactly what they did. They hee hawed around and waited to sign Dak, Zeke and Amari and look where we're at now... Because at the end of the season, Dak's market rate was only in the 20 (plus) mil range.

Can't afford JAGS if all 3 of these guys get what they want.

Yep that's why all the Dak-Zoids are freaking out as they know there are only 2 chairs for 3 candidates.
How much you wanna bet Coop and Zeke get there chair and cash and Dak is still standing come kick-off time?

P.S. Only solution Dak will have is to take a real friendly TEAM deal or we are going QB shopping come the spring as I figure this upcoming year will be Dak's last as his ineptness will continue in grand form.

As to your point about Dak not being able to "carry the team on his back"

I'll let the others chime in with their own responses regarding accuracy and whatnot.

as awful of a true QB he is, when its late 4th quarter he flips a switch

I want to be highest paid
Everyone does
I bet there is not a person here who has went in a told their boss they want less money
He will get what the market price is
His agents job is to get all he can, the teams job is get them as cheap as you can
That’s just the way the business works
It’s not like he’s not showing up and working right now

IMO, we could put Colt McCoy behind this OL and these offensive weapons and have a more potent passing attack. Dak is betting big on himself. He has apparently rejected 30+ million per. If he has a mediocre year, he might regret it.

As hard as it for a guy like Jerry I'm pretty sure he has stomached the fact that letting Tony go for Dak was a massive mistake.
I don't believe they have offered Dak 30 million deal as even they know he has a lot of ? about his play and talent level.
The smart play is to sign Zeke and Coop whose talents are not surrounded by tons of ????? and let good old Dak go out and win his contract by proving all nah Sayers wrong .
Let me tell you something if Dak had the talents of 30+ million QB he would be holding out already!!!
Why isn't he?
Cause Talent talks and all the great PR BS that Dak does so well......... WALKS!

I have another theory as to why Dak isn't holding out. It might occur to him that giving another guy a shot to lead this offense might not be a good idea. It is afterall how he won the job. If Mike White steps in there and starts hitting Cooper down field, Dak loses his leverage.

I completely disagree. Logically, one does not discard an established franchise quarterback in favor of a potential franchise quarterback as a replacement unless there is a high degree of self-assurance involved within the thought process. In my opinion, the continuous handwringing, incessant talking heads commentary, countless repetitive fansite discussions and more have missed the possibility Jerry Jones had already fully considered contract ramifications, being debated in the here-and-now, as early as late October 2016.

It is highly likely that it is not Jones who has not yet fully assimilated every factor necessary for renegotiating Prescott's contract. It is everyone who believes the deal should not or will not be done who have not weighed the situation properly.

I would not sign him to anywhere near 30 million.

Between him and Elliot's contracts, we are looking at a decade of mediocrity. Not 1 player on the Cowboys should be paid top 5 dollars until we see a deep playoff run...
