So what on earth is his trade value? You mean to tell me the 6th or 7th rounder you get for him is better than the value he'd offer as depth? They aren't impressed with him? They think other teams are lol?
BB said on Talking Cowboys yesterday that he's hearing that they're prepared to cut him if they can't trade him.

Her "value" is to report what she's told directly by either camp. That's what reporters do.

And we have no proof that Dak didn't ask for that. They know Mahomes is probably going to get upwards of $60 million per year, and they're trying to anticipate that market. That's why Dak seems in no hurry in my opinion.
I've always been a big Slater fan but she's been real careless with her reporting this offseason. I've noticed it coincide with her getting more camera time on those debate shows. Reporters get fed info all the time. They don't report everything they hear. It's her responsibility to discern when she's being fed bad info and being used as a vessel for ulterior motives.

Which is more important to you? Giving up yards or giving up touchdowns?

For me, its all about the scoring. Going from 26th to 8th is an enormous change. And the fact that virtually the entire secondary is markedly better is even more reason for praise.

We were 14th in the league in points per drive given up in 2017
We dropped to 15th in 2018

We went backwards

With Quinn suspended, Dlaw not at 100%, and other DL injuries... the Cowboys will need Taco since Barkley will be ready to feast during the season opener.

We aren't worried about Barkley, he's a running back.

He won't come close to making up for this defense, QB, and receiving corp all being bottom 5.

Walker said Claiborne was here 5 years, just couldn't remember since he hardly ever played. I was excited about Claiborne when we drafted him, boy was I wrong. The skill was there, just not the health.

I read that too but 5 years would mean we picked up his 5th-year option. I'm pretty sure we did not......coz remember thinking at the time we declined how he was one of only couple other first-rounders who teams declined their option also. It's why I said 4 years....

I'm with you if she's getting her information from sources of sources. But the Jones boys are playing hardball right now, and if she hears it from them, she needs to report it. It's either true, or they're lying through their teeth, both of which is news.

Crawford, Armstrong, Hyder, and Jackson might be better than Charlton right now.

I just think they are tired of him and want him gone.

Not in the specific area of pass defense and touchdowns scored we didn't.
Our rush defense improved from 2017 to 2018 going from allowing 4.1 YPC to 3.8 YPC. Which 4.1 is nothing to scoff at but Rod being able to focus solely on the Dline last year reall paid dividends and improved us to one of the best rush defenses in the league.

So we allowed more points per drive, but improved in our rush defense, that must mean that.....

Our pass defense regressing from 2017 to 2018 after bringing Richard on should definitely be worrisome.

IDK .........No question Fish has some ears in the building but not sure if this legit or he's click-baiting. Remember this just Taco's 3rd year, so we don't decide his 5th-year option until next year. With Quinn on a one year deal, why give up on him, especially since it appears he's ready to ball. Not sure where Fish is going with this......

Cowboys 1-on-1: Taco Charlton - 'Whatever coaches want, I'll do' (But what do the coaches really think?)

Cowboys 1-on-1: Taco Charlton - 'Whatever coaches want, I'll do' (But what do the coaches really think?)

FRISCO - Taco Charlton experienced the finest performance of his three-year NFL career on Saturday in helping to drub the visiting Houston Texans, 34-0 at AT&T Stadium. And now he's ready for more.

"It took me a little bit to get back into it,'' Taco tells me, "but I'm getting back into the groove of things.'

It’s too early to give up on him right now for anything less than a 1 at least as high as what we used on him. In a year or two, if he’s not where we need him to be, then by all means take a 3rd or whatever.

Better be if Zeke is not playing. Even with the Cowboys top D; still was scared when they faced Barry Sanders because on any given play; he could take it to the house.

What makes you think she got it directly from the Jones boys? Most of her sources come from the player side. When Jerry or Stephen want something out in the media they usually talk directly to Mort, Werder, or Rapoport.

Beaker I like you, but he's not even worth a 3rd right now, add in one or two more years of futility and... well you can do the math there

"It's" done on purpose because I have no problem laughing at myself. What makes it even funnier is you're the first person to catch it.

I never made the mistake again after seeing this:

The Alot is an imaginary creature that I made up to help me deal with my compulsive need to correct other people's grammar. It kind of looks like a cross between a bear, a yak and a pug, and it has provided hours of entertainment for me in a situation where I'd normally be left feeling angry and disillusioned with the world.

Nothing "regressed", take your false narrative somewhere else.

The team allowed 28 passing touchdowns defensively in 2017 and just 22 in 2018.

Here's more help if you need it:

Other than Watts, who could we have taken other than Taco in that draft spot? Reasonable selection based on then value?
