funny how they manage to find the money....

Pay Zeke. Done.

Enjoy.

Enjoy watching the defense get pulled apart the next few years as we have to let guys walk because we won’t have the cap space to sign them.

We all know the main reason why that team went 4-12 that year, lets not act like we didn't losing our starting QB. That team had almost the same talent as the team that went 12-4 the year before. And for the record, something similar would happen this year should Dak get knocked out for the season early (with the backups we currently have).
That's my point, QB play. Dak isn't terrible like some try to say. He is a very good QB otherwise those other QBs, that have had success other places, would have done better than win 1 game without Romo

I think Jerry protects his investment as much as possible to get the 4-5 years out of that he hopes. Zeke get breathers early to be in in the 4th IMHO
exactly but his numbers will remain on par to what he has showcased --again--clearly a discussion which needs to be tabled...

The post was about how they planned to limit Zeke's snaps in the first game.

But you, for some reason, disagree with the report that Olawale was going to be the pass blocking back in game 1?
no just stating he was here last year and Zeke was still on the field

A team doesnt throw away generational talent at any position. They are even less likely to throw away high level production at the QB position.

The Rams gave Gurley the deal because he is worth it.
The Rams gave Goff the deal because he is worth it.
The Cowboys will do the same for the same reasons. Its not an either or. Its both.

It's highly doubtful that either Gurley or Goff will be generational players. It will be surprising if Goff even becomes a multiple first-team all-pro.

The Rams are trying to make a huge splash in their return to their old market.

Looney should come out during warmups with his 21 jersey and have Zeke Who as the name on the back....

Folks need to keep in mind, Gurley's deal is around 12 mill a year when you average over the 6 years (2 that remained plus extension).

So this isn't like Zeke really gave in on much aside from length.

The main differences I see is Zeke got more per year while Gurley came out slightly better in guaranteed money ($45 million/4 years vs. $50 million/6 years).

He didn't hold out, he couldn't do anything for one it was the off-season and two he has an injury. Nothing figurative about it

He could have agreed to Jerry’s offer, but he didn’t . He held out hope that Jerry would cave... and he did.

I may look composed, but on the inside I’m laughing uncontrollably at everyone who thought there was ANY chance he’d miss even a single game.

Hilarious that anyone believed that
Believed?, Hell, I was on the verge of praying that idiot would, and thru that Rube Goldberg act, being the catalyst that ultimately put him on that short road to living under a bridge,,,

o_O:rolleyes:o_O

6 years tells me Zeke made some concessions. Not many players want to be on contract for 8 seasons.

Zeke didn't concede anything by agreeing to a longer term. Do you think Cabo isn't going to be there in 4 or 5 years?

Is kinda funny to see people talking about the benefits of locking a player up for 8 years when the same player was locked up for 5 seasons and only agreed to play 3.

We will pay who we want to pay LVE isnt going anywhere. Smith is already locked up. Witten and Lee will be off the books next season. Our young core will be intact. The new CBA is going to increase the cap immensely. You need to relax and enjoy the season. lol
