Most fans will love him again but he's destroyed his reputation with at least some of the fan base. I am one of those people.

He's a Pollard progress stopper with a freak sized cranium.
If you're going to be mad at him it should be for things like his off the field behavior not his agents negotiating tactics.

Owners are quick to cut players salaries as they get older, or don't perform as well, so for that reason I don't begrudge players to get what they can when they still have leverage.

4 years ago, Jerry and Stephen said their research showed it didn’t make sense to pay a TB a ton of money, which is why they made a mid-level offer to Murray.

Then Jerry trots our how you don’t need a big time TB to win a SB.

Stephen says Bell’s deal reset the market.

And then days before the season starts, they make Elliott the highest paid TB in NFL history.

Makes sense. We have no real plan. Just acquire players and if they are good sign them to huge extensions.
What he meant to say was it doesnt make sense to pay THIS TB a ton of money. Comparing Murray to Zeke is laughable.

"Zeke has no leverage."

He would’ve lost a lot had Pollard torn it up game 1 plus he started losing big money at that point, no one but Jerry would have given him much more than half that. Jerry caved early. Jerry gave him way more leverage than he should’ve had, which wasn’t much with two years on a contract left and the fact no one was going to pay him what he wants or probably trade for him with his constant cloud of immature behavior.

they will remain for the true bellcow ---get back with me at the end of the year when Zeke still has 60-80 catches

You are going to be hard pressed to see that come true as Pollard is going to get some 3rd downs as well. Zeke was Dak's safety valve after Witten left. Unless Moore has a much different gameplan for Zeke, he won't ever see 60 catches again. He is just not used like Kamara or Barkley.

It’s not a comparison between the two.

Jerry and Stephen were clear about their research and what it said about TBs in general and the risks in paying them.

They have no plan. If they like the player then they will just pay them. They have no philosophy. It’s why this team just spins the wheels year after year.

You realize now that Zeke will get injured and JG will have another excuse and get his big extension....?

I disagree his career has progressed this way and he is a legit 3 down back. The best in football isn't coming off the field. Book it.

I think Jerry protects his investment as much as possible to get the 4-5 years out of that he hopes. Zeke get breathers early to be in in the 4th IMHO

the FB was here last year when Zeke caught 77 passes...this is just "talk" imo ....Zeke dominates backfield touches and there is no reason he shouldn't

The post was about how they planned to limit Zeke's snaps in the first game.

But you, for some reason, disagree with the report that Olawale was going to be the pass blocking back in game 1?

Which is funny because "elite" QBs dont need a supporting cast apparently, yet you look at the list of elite qbs and their supporting casts are incredible. Dak seems to be the only one that doesnt deserve one or I dont know what the argument really is anymore.
I have debated that many times with proof. When fools dislike a certain player than facts don't matter

Figuratively held out, said that in my post. To hold out is an expression meaning to wait, to delay. “Hold out just a little longer, I’m getting the fire department!”
He didn't hold out, he couldn't do anything for one it was the off-season and two he has an injury. Nothing figurative about it
