I forgot about that. All summer they had to prepare for the Panthers and they confused him pretty bad.
yeah, I assumed theyd remember that and get him more reps in preseason this time. I hope it is different this time. I saw a list of qb's who got 0 playing time in preseason and it was quite a list, so at least he got some reps

I

According to QBs that knows more than either of us, One of the QB prospects in the next draft should provide the team with a young QB that is a much more capable of being heads and shoulders above Dak and he would be much cheaper QB with a much cheaper salary cap impact. Dak would be the easiest player to upgrade.
According to those same QBs and so called experts there were several QBs in Daks draft class that was better than him that are currently jobless.....#facts

I laugh at the people who don't like this guy ..
I like Dak's maturity and disposition. I love Dak's football heart. It's his physical ability to make the tight throws and his mental ability to read defenses that I'm still concerned about. Again I think he's a QB that can win a championship IF he has a top 3 ranked defense, and a hot field goal kicker.

Like Aikman?

His ability to fit the ball in tight windows should not be quesitoned...he does it all the time. His ability to read defense is well ahead of almost all qbs i have seen at this experience level. His ability to go through his progressions is also well ahead of his experience.

Only question in my mind is completing the easy throws that should be easy completions that he sometimes misses. If he hit half of those last year, his numbers would be so much better and the hater club would be significantly smaller...

the last 3 years DAK, SL and JG have the same great 32-16 record you laud Dak for, funny how this works. Al the bad plays by Dak , the fumbles, the sacks the poor passes, those were all on SL, just saying.

Well maybe if Linehan wouldn't have been so predictable and would actually call plays that fit the skillset of our players he wouldn't have been fired.

There is a reason why Linehan is canned, Garrett hasn't been given a new contract just yet, and there is talk that the Cowboys are trying to sign Dak to a long term contract making him one of the highest-paid QBs in the league.

Blame things on Dak all you want. But I betcha he'll be around here for the long haul.

I don't doubt that mentally, Zeke is ready, just as he said lately, although, being physically football ready is another animal entirely! As we all know, being in good football condition is another animal entirely and requires a certain amount of time and reps to condition properly.

Assuming he plays in New York or whenever, most likely, he'll be limited in his number of carries. Let's not expect his normal 25 carries to be the case. Fortunately, there's Pollard, Alfred Morris and Chunn to back him up and provide sufficient relief to keep him fresh.

That's also to Zeke's advantage, in order to prevent the onset of a hamstring pull or something similar. The Cowboys normally err on the side of caution to help avoid a possible setback. That should allow him to remain healthy until his football conditioning improves.

As far as what to expect from Dak this year, let's examine what he averaged last year in terms of yards per game. His average passing per game in 2018 was 242.8 ypg. If his production increases as advertised, he should average at least 260 or more. I think that's a fairly conservative estimate but we'll see. It's no secret that the play calling and his support from the WRs should improve as well. I believe he's fully prepared to impress us favorably. ;)

It is...fortunately he is averaging 226 ypg (Romo averaged 219 ypg for career) and 1.3 (Romo 1.58) passing tds per game.

He averages 1.7 per game if you include his rushing tds.

Keep hating...
big love you have.

When people doubt you.....prove them wrong
When people laugh at it....laugh with them as you show them wrong
When people tell you aren't good enough.....show them that they are wrong

Dak has done a great job of being a model leader for the team and seems like a really good dude. I want so bad to see him go and prove everyone who has ever doubted him wrong. When he does we all win.

Go Cowboys!

Yeah, it's one thing to lack confidence in his ability, but to actually dislike Dak, the person, means you're either seeing something that isn't there or you just want to.
This is a really disingenuous online comment I rarely see folks use offline. Who really dislikes Dak as a person? The amount of people this actually applies to is soo small it isn’t worth mentioning. Most think he isn’t good as a qb and that then becomes you don’t like him as a person or whatever silly assumptions folks say to make them feel better about themselves.

I think if Dak took a giant step forward most on here would actually be upset. I for one hope this guy comes out and sets the league on fire this year! Go Cowboys
Way to make yourself look like a better fan pick me guy. Most wouldn’t be upset if Alex Smith Jr improved he’ll that’s the reason his average behind is talked about all the time. I’m sure dang near everybody would be happy as ever if he greatly improved stop the madness.

I'm saying your post is mostly online madness that you don't get offline saying Dak isn't good. The disingenuous part is the whole hate Dak as a person part when who really does?

I was just replying to Ken's post. I wasn't saying I know anyone who say they don't like him...That said, I've seen some posts here that make it easy to believe there are some who just flat out hate the kid.
