5 years guaranteed? Aw heck no. Jaylon and D-Law basically got 3. Guaranteeing 5 seasons at top dollar for pretty much anyone is a terrible move.

2019 was already guaranteed and 2020 at 9 Million was a lock. In a practical sense, this was an additional 3 year guarantee for a player that will still be 28 years old when the guarantees end.

The best RB in football is averaging $12.6 million per year over the next 5 years. It's the perfect deal for both sides. Keeps our young core together for the next 5 years.

1. Who the hell thinks he's the best RB?

2. $12.6M for a RB is horrible.

3. You get him at $13M over the next two years, then it explodes as he becomes even more of a depreciating asset.

Dude it doesn’t matter how much Zeke makes. He will not honor his contract, it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. In a few years if Zeke is still in the league and not suspended, he will hold out again. He is constant drama and a distraction.

He had 13 Million remaining on his rookie deal, so the 13 Million is probably the already guaranteed 4 MM for 2019, the 9 Million in 2020 we were certain to pay him, plus the signing bonus and guaranteed money in years 3, 4 and 5.
Yep. So we are sunk for five years at minimum. Wow.

Unless they are giving him 50MM guaranteed beyond the 13MM that was due for the next two years under his old deal.
I'm hoping that the $13M is part of the $50M and there is only $37M after that. But I don't know.

We have a top three RB at the market rate. What a tragedy.

The market rate? We blew the market out of the water. And the market shouldnt have even been at that bar to begin with.

You're cool with aollcating 8%+ of our CAP to a guy good for 20% of one win over an average player at his position over an entire season? I agree with you, that is an absolute tragedy.

At least he's a good guy that never gets in trouble and helps out.... oh wait nevermind.

Does this move hurt the boys flexibility moving forward? Probably not..is it our money..nope.do rb’s get this kind of money nope..but if the boys are trying to win a super bowl then they need Zeke, and if they win a super bowl nobody is going to care much 2-3 years from now..there are pros and cons to this deal, but for the time being Zeke is back and this team has a legit shot at the super bowl

If Zeke was guy like Ray Rice, Arian Foster or Doug Martin I would agree with you. But he isn't, he is an elite player and there is no comparison whatsoever with guys like that.

Get back to me when one of those guys puts up more yards than any other RB over three seasons - while missing 8 games, who is an above average receiver and an above average blocker.

Doug Martin went to sleep at night dreaming about being the kind of RB Zeke is.

Now you know PFF has him as the 20-30th best back in the league.
