So you shift to personal attacks. You are an _________. How stupid I sound? Lies? I am guessing that it is you who rarely saw him play.
I am up front about not seeing him a lot... I don't live in Detroit, if he wasn't on National TV then I didn't see him. Unlike homers who pretend that they have seen every carry.

Again you say he got tackled easily and had horrible games and did not hit the hole... all of which if it was true, I find it extremely hard to believe that someone would hit 15000 yards. And if it was true, I would suspect it would be fairly easy to, you know, prove it. You'll forgive me if I don't trust your hazy "memory".

So odd that people can't discuss something like "who do you think was better out of these two undoubtedly great players" without getting angry enough to start taking personal shots at each other.

Agreed. I was enjoying the back and forth and then bam I'm being called a liar, for my opinion? Anyhow, that is why the ignore feature is there. :) Have a great evening!

I disagree, the fact you think Barry was an every down back tells me all I need to know.
The fact that you think Sanders could amass 3000+ carries and NOT be an every down back tells us all we need to know about you (clueless trolling).

The fact that you think Emmitt was better than Barry tells me all I need to know. But I already knew that about you. Homer!!

I disagree. He's there right now. If anything, it's poor playcalling and lack of opportunities limiting him, not players on the field. He had a better YPA average over Zeke last year, and that was running behind a much worse offensive line. He has speed and agility that Elliott simply doesn't. I'm a Cowboys fan but I can admit the obvious.
I like how people didn't care as much about YPA until Zeke came. No one gets awards for YPA or YPC. Yards, TDs, & turnover ratio > every other stat.

Fact is, Zeke has led the league in rushing in every season he's played in the NFL. He obviously didn't get the rushing title for 2017 because of suspension, but he led in all the games he played in. He's produced more than Dak has.

The Zeke vs. Saquon debate could end being the Emmitt vs. Barry debate of this generation.

Emmitt ran behind what is probably considered the greatest offensive line of all time playing for what was one of the greatest teams in terms of offensive talent of that time. He had uncanny vision and quickness so he saw the hole as it was developing and would be through it in an instant. Aside from that, his grit, determination, and durability were probably his greatest attributes.

Barry was undeniably the more physically gifted in terms of speed, strength, and agility. However he played for one of the worst offensive lines on what was perennially one of the worst teams in the league.

I think we may find the situation with Zeke and Saquon (time will tell) to be very similar. Zeke, who isn't as physically gifted as Saquon (dude is a freak of nature) will likely play most of his career behind a far superior offensive line and probably put up better rushing numbers.

Zeke is playing with a rising star at QB with a ton of weapons on offense, while Saquon is playing for a team with a lame duck QB who will in all likelihood be ending his career this year, and has little offensive firepower outside of himself and Engram.

If they should both be durable enough to play for the next 7 years or so, I think you will see Zeke edge out Saquon in rushing numbers but there will be an argument to be made that Saquon was the better all around back.

Should be fun to watch and discuss over the years...
Emmitt broke the state of FL HS rushing records, UF rushing records, and wrote on a piece of paper he would be the all time rushing champion. There is no comparison and there never will be.

UF rushing records? Did Barry break any college records? A little birdie told me that he might have had an ok college performance. What do you think? Do you remember anything?
You homers are funny.

Let’s talk after another 3 or 4 years. See if they are even still in the league.

The fact you think Barry is better tells me all I need to know..... Hater!

If the game is on the line and you need 1 yard for a TD to win are you going with Emmitt or Barry? If you say Barry than you are wrong.

You can like whoever you want that's fine but for me Jim Brown was the best RB of all time and Barry not Emmitt can claim they were better, or any of their fans

I saw him play in person twice my friend, just like like I saw the boys and niners in person during the hey days to see who was SB bound and brother has 2 rings to show for it.
Not only that but right now people can go watch film of the games. Even if some didn't see him play live you can watch games from the 60s and 70s much less Barry in the 90s.

Most that say Barry was better are ones that seen the highlights and that's it.
