I think the Eagles are really in trouble tonight. I think their defensive issues line up for Aaron Rodgers having a big night. The Eagles can't get pressure on the quarterback (just 2 sacks in 3 games) and their pass defense hasn't been good. They rank 29th in pass defense, giving up nearly 300 yards a game on average.

I agree. I said before the Atlanta game that if philly had a big weakness on defense it was their secondary

Couple that with a pass rush that's not getting the job done, and attrition due to injury on the defensive line, and they've got problems. Big problems.

Now I can't help but to wonder if Roseman doesn't 'panic' trying to stay in contention in some way this year and pull the trigger on a deal for Jalen Ramsey, even if he has to pay big?

It may mean the difference between staying competitive this year or not.

I think it would be a mistake, Isn't Jacksonville asking 2 1st rd picks? Ramsey is a very good player but I don't see him making Jacksonville a contender and 1 player on defense is not going to make Philly great it will just cost them 2 1st rd picks that they really need

That's why i considered it a panic move.

I'd heard the Eagles offered Sydney Jones, a 1st rounder, and another pick. I guess that wasn't enough.

We have to root for Packers tonite. Winning division is first priority.?

As far as home field implications with Packers we can help ourselves next week.

Of course. Cowboys will get their chance to have the upper hand on GB for things like Homefield by beating them but always 1st priority is winning our division. If Cowboys can win Sunday Night along with a Philly loss tonight put us 3 games up and that is big

And even after Green Bay, the Eagles upcoming schedule looks tough.

They have what should be a gimme against the Jets, but then play at Minnesota, at Dallas, at New England, at Buffalo, the Bears, and against the Seahawks.

Go GB

Arguably the best kept secret in the NFL right now is that Carson Wentz is the worst 4th quarter QB in football since he came into the league in 2016. His QB rating in the 4th quarter of one score games since he came into the league is 76.9, worse than Eli, Jameis, Mariota, Trubisky and Flacco to name a few. The most amazing stat? He has blown more double digit 4th quarter leads (5) than he has 4th quarter/OT comeback wins (4).

Exactly. Even if we lose to the Saints we can still help ourselves by beating the Packers as long as the Pack beats the Iggles tonight.

The Dline is the direct cause of the secondary problem. While not the strongest postion on team .... its not close to as bad as its looked.

Ramsey wont do anything to help at this point if the Line looks so bad. He is also not a type I see Howie going for as they have worked hard to build a certain locker room presence. They have 0 tolerance for the BS that comes with Ramsey. They need to fix the line issues more then thye need to fix CB.

How is it on him when players drop the ball after it hitting their hands ? THis is not a new issue as it was big in 2016 as well. 2017 they were never behind. People like to ignore the fact its a team stat not QB .... you cant score again if the clock is at 00

I see it as being a combination of both. Darby and the other cornerbacks haven't been playing well either. Pair that with a four man rush that's not getting there, and you've got problems. And thus far, Schwartz has lived and died with the blitz trying to make up for it.

Ramsey would certainly be a panic move in my book if they did decide to trade for him. But there has been a lot of chatter that the Eagles were looking into it. It would be a move out of desperation to try to salvage a season quickly getting away from them.

It's bizarre how Philly fans will throw their DL under the bus for that secondary.

That secondary isn't very good. Even with better DL play. Darby is their best CB and he isn't very good right now (and is injured again). Douglas seems to be an adequate short range type CB but lacks speed and is susceptible to double moves and gets beat deep quite a bit. Jones has basically been a bust since they took a chance on him and his injury a couple of years ago. Maddox? He showed some promise.

At safety, people have been quietly whispering that Jenkins is showing his age. McLeod has been OK. There isn't much depth wise at S.

Your CBs aren't very good. To suggest they are fine is just willful blindness IMO.

As this game gets closer, I got that weird feeling this is going to be one of those "what the hell" type games.

Like Rodgers will do two or three stupid things that factor in an Eagles win that you'll mutter to yourself, "why doesn't Rodgers go that stupid against us"....................

In a perfect world the Pack would kill the Eagles but Fletcher Cox would sit on Rodgers knocking him out for a week.

I’m with Suddenlink out of West Texas. Do not get NFL Network per our current package. Would love to see the Eagles/Packers game, and hopefully watch the Eagles continue to get buried.

Prime carries this live, correct? Any help is appreciated!
