first off hes a figure head HC now, sure he has some say BUT lets not get it twisted KR has been calling plays, hes responsible for the passing game defense and asst DC duties.. hes more then half responsible..

you want someone to blame and fire RM you arent fixing the defense..we have the players we have and the play caller will still be here..

When our D stepped up last year it was all due to Richard, why is it now back to Marinelli and not Richard?

Marinelli ESENTIALLY calls the dline plays...not Richard. Its a failed scheme. We need to do something differently because we cant stop anyone. WE ALLOWED A BEAT UP OLINE MAN HANDLE US ALL DAY!!!!! The Packers oline was a mess...and they walked in here ..and laughed at us..toying with us all day long. AM I the only 1 that noticed that? Rodgers and the Packers were having fun out there. Was way too easy. I saw our defenders being freaking nice to the packers like they were their friends lol...I even spilled my beer when I saw the way we played soft...almost like we threw the game in the first 3 quarters.

Actually if you fire Marinelli, you are kind of fixing the defense. It won't be totally solved but at the very least, you might get a new voice in there who wants to run different things along the DL. We need to stop with the reflexive defense of Marinelli where we want to blame Richard for everything.

agree 100% Addition by subtraction. It may be the wake up call they need on that side of the ball. Their buddy gets fired and actually holds the defense accountable. Imagine that lol.

Garrett cant even escape this. Jerry and the entire world was at Jerry World watching this hot mess unfold. Think for 1 second Jerry aint thinking about making a change this morning? Rod coaches D-Line and employs the run defense. Richards calls what Marinelli wants, 4 lineman shooting gaps on runs plays or stunting. That's it , it's all we do and then rotate the bodies. It puts our LB's in a horrible position to stop inside runs. If L.Bell runs for 200 yards, he may be escorted out of the building

Rods defense has been torched by the run since he has been here. We are running Rods scheme. Its doesnt matter who calls the plays. He hand picked the players.

And his "just get up the field" style compromises the soundness of the run defense, without any sort of positive tradeoff in improved pass rush. All of the bad, with none of the good.

Probably more than just 1 bad game this year so far. Please step away from the ledge

but the d-line plays the way Rod wants.

yeh but we have more issues than just Rod. M

1) despite Quinn and DLaw, we still suffer from lack of pass rush
2) we still are displaying a lack of gap defense - especially up the interior middle
3) we still simply do not force turnovers- I've seen ball-punch fumbles around the NFL, but why not here ?
4) no huddles and misdirections continue to kill us
5) still a weak inconsistent goal line defense

I'm not understanding periods where both Quinn and DLaw are taken off the field -especially in red zone/goal line situations. but that's Marinelli sub packages and schematics.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly from yesterday.........

The Good.........Well after looking like the Dolphins for the first half at least they fought back and had a chance (a little one anyway)

The Bad........... Hmmmmmmmm let me see, this might take a while. drop passes, force throws for Int's, 28 points down, awful defense LVE and Jaylon Smith can't tackle, no turnovers by the defense, oh and I almost forgot a missed 35 yard field goal after another stupid penalty!

The Ugly............The last two games the Cowboys have been outcoached plus the last two games reminded me a lot like those undisciplined Wade Phillips team a lot of penalties and awful run defense. BTW who's Green Bay's running back? How the hell could a team dominate on the ground one week after totally abandoning the running game against the Eagles, how is that even possible? Tell you what folks they better get their act together or Garrett won't be the Cowboys Head coach this year,..............oh and one more thing hold onto that contract for Dak he has a lot more to prove!
