What's lazy is just always writing off average performances from our QB as not really his problem because of the fact he didn't have this guy out there or that guy out there. In a league where teams face injuries all the time and good teams and good QBs show they can overcome them, what's lazy is just lining up the excuses because one doesn't like a player getting fairly criticized for his play.

Yes, I think if we swapped QBs right now the Cowboys would be in much better shape than they are now.

Winning a SB is tough even with good QB play. But when your QB can be inconsistent and often has trouble overcoming injuries around him, it makes it really, really tough to win a SB.

Every position on the roster has been upgraded with 1st round draft picks. LB, D-line twice (plus paid one), secondary has Byron Jones and a couple decent guys that were borderline 1st round. Offensive lineman def has them, rb yep good there, wr made the trade for amari.......guess what position hasn’t been touched? Yep, your beloved golden child’s position hasn’t been. Ole #4. If anybody thinks he is getting a contract without a deep playoff run (which I doubt they even go to playoffs cause eagles are better than them. Hell I doubt they win more than 7 games to be honest)......but if anybody thinks Dak Prescott has $30million a year waiting on him you should prob find another team to root for because you are clueless about where and how the cowboys are and are not spending their money.

I don't understand how any logical thinking person can say yesterdays loss was on Dak. The guys got smashed all day long and still put up good numbers. We lost because the Defense couldn't stop Sam Darnold. As ugly as that game was if Jason takes the points to make it a 6-7 game we would have won.

Do it all? No. Play better? Yes. If he is really this upper echelon QB, his play shouldn't always crater once injuries set in. But it seemingly does.

That doesn't make him a bad QB. He's not Luke Falk or Cooper Rush out there. Those are bad QBs. He's a good, nice, serviceable QB. I don't think he's the type of QB that can win a SB like a Rodgers or Brady or Wilson. I think that while a good QB, he also limits this franchise's potential to win a SB.

I believe there are limitations to his game that make it tough for him to get on a big roll come playoff time. I am guessing you totally disagree.

Wilson is elite and Dak doesn't deserve "market money". Let some other trash tier team like Miami pay him that. Cowboys need to have higher standards again.

The Saints struggled down the stretch last year actually and Brees' arm looked weaker. And our defense played well at the end of last season, they were ranked in the top 10.
