Its a very reasonable conclusion based on 9 years of evidence.
That would be based on we’ve had more talented teams than the results ?

I certainly haven’t seen a championship caliber team this generation with a Star on their helmets.

I think the true sign of a poorly coached team is a team that always seems to beat itself...which the Cowboys do often under Garrett and company.

On the most part we beat the teams we should and lose to the better teams. Seems pretty normal to me.

And like clockwork, he does it again to save his job.

And I think the talent is there to actually beat some of those good teams they lost to. The difference was coaching, game-planning, and execution. We saw examples of this in the past four games. In the Eagles game, we saw better in all three....but why did it take them that long to do that? Because the coaches aren't doing their job until things get desperate.

Romo wasn't elite? ok

How about an NFC title game appearence? Whats the excuse there?
I’d argue he wasn’t Elite enough to overcome a bottom tier defense. If he had the defense we had last year , maybe a better result.

And we’ve been close on 3 occasions to a championship appearance under Garrett with less than championship caliber teams. Pretty much where we should have been. Nothing less or more.

Garret's suddenly turned into a great motivator and game prep guy? Pretty sure it was Pederson that got the cowboys fired up with the public prediction of a win.
Really bro...you quoted a post of mine, I've bashed Garrett with the best of them but obviously he did his job and they came out ready to play. If I can criticize the guy, I can also give him credit when these guys are prepared and not beating themselves. You keep grinding your ax with Garrett, and I'll keep doing me; and if what I'm doing doesn't work for you, then that's tough.

"Jason Garrett hasn't been given an opportunity"

"He needs more of a chance to see what he can do"

"We can't rush to judgement"

"He needs more time"

IT'S BEEN 10 YEARS!!!!!!!

That’s an opinion not a fact. You’re certainly entitled but it’s not one I agree with.

No doubt we get out coached at times . All teams do but on the most part we beat the teams we should and vice versus.

Unfortunately Jerry doesn’t place a higher priority on coaching . This is probably about as good of situation as we can hope for. And why I’ve lobbied for more talent in key positions and Jerry doesn’t seem as foolish in bringing in more proven asst coaches. But if your looking for Jerry to bring in an Elite HC I think it’s a pipe dream. False hope!

How many more decades do you need to lose hope Jerry will bring in a greater HC and gtf out of the way?

I'm not looking for Jerry to do anything but what Jerry wants to do....but Garrett is a proven failure to get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. Wanting to stick with him is wanting to stick with failure simply because you don't think Jerry will ever give us a better coach. I don't think he will until he becomes so desperate as he approaches death that he'll finally relent. However, there's always a small chance that he'll hire someone that can provide enough intangibles to get the job done...a fluke, as it were. The Eagles SB ring a bell?

We can't do that if Garrett remains as the coach. He's a proven flop in the playoffs.
