More fun to watch Dez or Cooper?

This is what I'm talking about with recency bias. Dez had 10 touchdowns of 50 or more yards and just a bunch that weren't long, but were taking it to the house when nothing was there. It's like fans have just chosen to forget about things:

Amari doesn't score on any of those.
Yeah sure dude...

Dez with Romo was an absolute blast. Those back-shoulder fades and high-point balls were a thing of beauty.

Cooper is a much better receiver though.

let them tell it he only caught jump balls and back shoulder fades.

Cooper is the better WR, but I'd say Dez from 2012-2014 was the more exciting player to watch.

Dez would be my pick only if he would have completed the catch that winter afternoon in GB.
Cooper runs much better routes and gets open with less physicality (potential penalties) so he's the man.

Yea sure what? You honestly think Amari scores on those? lol ok.
I’m sure you’re a little net troll is what I’m sure of. Only trolls look for things to get offended by in general posts.

Let’s see, skying for the ball and circus catches vs excellent route running..

Not too hard..

i would vote Dez Bryant - because not only did I watch and enjoy him as a receiver, but Dez was also a prolific punt returner coming into the NFL and had his moments there until they decided it was too risky especially given his wreckless style.

- Dez could overpower and overwhelm his man with his size, strength and physical nature

- And he also possess terrific eye hand body control and ball skills when out-jumping CBs at it’s high point of the thrown ball in the red zone – Depending upon the skill of the QB that throws the more catchable ball
Dez would come up with the more impressive contouring catches when it comes down to physically contested catches with defenders hanging all over him – he had a notch over Cooper in that area.
He was never a blazer but he was field fast, competitive play speed and was a terrific runner after the catch.

- Plus I got to admit that I got a kick out of Dez and his swaggering woofing down his opponents with fire and passion, whether pre-game or during the game, you could not verbally intimidate him out of his game - when he was in his prime and at the top of his game.

- The only thing that I ever saw was when it came to the more elite man coverage CBs, he had a more difficult time of separating because he depended so much on his physical style and upper body strength and never sought to perfect and sell his route running, that those elite coverage CBs never had to worry about anything more than a couple of moves ,..and that was it.
If they could match up “ physically” with Dez per strength, they could better compete and neutralize him.

- Amari Cooper is like watching a 6-1 version of Cole Beasley playing on the outside when it comes to art of pure route running.
He has electric feet, hips , stop-restart change of direction on a dime, explosive cutting in and out of breaks, his repertoire of moves can simply freeze and confuse CBs.
Plus Cooper has it in his ability to catch a slant and take it the distance as well as over the top of defense ability,

- But just the opposite of Dez, ...Amari seems to bothered by physical jam pressing CBs more, than in-prime Dez.

- We'll get to measure Cooper vs the elite press CBs –(such as Saints Lattimore in Saints game) and he’ll face the likes of Pats Stephen Gilmore, Rams Jalen Ramsey, Lions Darius Slay and Bears Kyle Fuller in the coming weeks

- Both WRs have had issues with drops and injuries at one point or another.

I'm not offended, you're just stupid to say anything along the lines of Cooper having more ability to take something to the house.

Coop and it's not even close. Coop is faster, better route runner, better catch radius, and he's not a distraction on the sideline when he doesn't get the ball.

There is too much recency bias here. People have forgotten Dez in 2012-14. Fans cry all the time about his route running or whatever, and he was STILL uncoverable.

Amari is a tactician, and is elite at it. But there's no way that's a more exciting brand of football than what Dez played.

DBs were helpless against Dez, they couldn't win. That's not true for Amari. It's like comparing pitchers....say Greg Maddox vs. Randy Johnson. If you had your stuff, you could guess right and hit Maddox. That wasn't true for Randy Johnson, because he could just overpower you.

I respectfully disagree. If you replace Dez with Coop in 2012 to 2014, with Romo throwing him balls, Coop would obliterate the stats Dez put up. No doubt in my mind.

Love Dak, but he doesn't have the passing skills Romo has. Even with Dak over 16 games, he put up stats comparable to Dez's best years:

Dez career season highs
Catches: 93 (2013)
TDs: 16 (2012)
Yards: 1,382 yards (2014)

Coop was a midseason pickup for half the season last year (and essentially missed 1 game this year). He's playing better this year (with a TC under his belt with Dak). I could easily see him beasting even more with Romo tossing him the rock.

Ok fine, but I never said Dez was better.

Big Dez fan but it's not that black and white. Some love the technique and precision of just destroying a DB with speed and route running. Case and point, the (at home) Philly/Skins games last year Coop totaled 5 TD's between those games and put on a clinic scoring from everywhere. Coops after the catch is just amazing. Really splitting hairs. No correct answer as they're both awesome playmakers.

I love both WR’s and I think they are both great with very different styles of play. It’s honestly super close for me, curious to see what y’all think

More fun to watch, 88 or 19?

Pre injury Dez who actually ran a route once in awhile. I liked. Liked his passion. Cooper is just a better fit for Dak, with his superb route running. And he has deep speed. Not the jump ball guy Dez was, but thats ok. I take prime Cooper.

Dez and Romo was amazing-

Cooper and Dak are very good-

Coopers had a few amazing 200+ games already, and he's only been a Cowboy for a year total. I say so far, Cooper and Dak are amazing considering are inconsistent playcalling.

His "circus catches" were due in part to overall lack of coordination..........he looked like a spider on crack at times............this don't even take into account the drama Dez brought.
:lmao2::lmao: A spider on crack lmaoooooo
